    Hi,

Like the title says, I'm looking for people using the CSW 2.5 Wheelbase.
The question in particular is: What are your FFB settings?
I started with the recommended settings mit Fanatec themselves but found them weird, so I moved on and started using Danielkart's V6000 Extreme2 (even tho it's marketed as being suited vor the CSW 2 rather than the 2.5) and fiddled with the settings a bit, but I get quite a lot Clipping, even tho I turned down the gain to 50 (instead of the recommended 60-65). I like the feeling of the Profile but I can't seem to get it right.
    Can anyone advice me?
Thanks for the help in advance. :)

When I had my CSW 2.5. If I recall I used:

    Driver:
Everything default except using Drift -2

    Ingame:
    Default+
    62 or 35. Can't remember. I think 35 is too soft. I use 42 on my DD1 at 15nm peak
    15
    50
    0

Also I had good experience with
    Drift on 0
    Dampening on 50 or 60.

Turn the FEI on your base to 60, leave everything else at 100. I prefer -1 for the DRF setting, some people prefer -2, which I find dulls things too much.

    In game: Default+ profile
Gain - I run mine lower than most @ 30 because I don't like fighting my wheel
    LFB - 0
    FX - 25
    Damping - 35

Danielkart labels his CSL and CSW Fanatec bases incorrectly. Been like that forever.

The CSW 2 he refers to is actually the CSW 2.5 @ 8nm.
The CSL he refers to is the CSL Elite which I believe was 6nm.

I tried DanielKart's latest file but it's too heavy and noisy for me. Maybe I'll tweak it later.
    My current settings:

    Wheel:
    FEI 70
    DRI -1
Damper / Spring /etc - not sure currently. Gotta check tonight at home.

    Ingame:
Preset: Default (Default+ feels way too light while cornering to me)
    Gain 63 - 65
    LFB 0
    FX 90
    Damping 45

And now hopefully the OP can see it's all personal preference as we all do things VERY differently. Best thing to do is drive, change settings to extremes to see what the effect does, then dial into your own personal driving style.

Your Csw 2.5 has about 8.5Nm force. My recommendations go up to around 6.5Nm. I also described the bases incorrectly as someone has already noticed. I'll correct it. Your base is already in the area of the dd bases with the powers. I don't think there has ever been a stronger belt base on the market. So I would recommend you to test the dd file with your base. There you will feel significantly lower forces (use the values of a csl dd 8Nm for the in-game settings). Maybe it will help you

    DRI -1
    Damper / Spring OFF

    Ingame:
    Preset: Default+
    Gain 63 - 65
    LFB 0
    FX 25
    Damping 25

Good settings. If you notice the curbs hit a bit too hard, or you get a strange vibration on long flowing corners, try dropping the FEI down a bit. That'll take care of it.

    Thanks for the tip mate.
I already tried FEI 70 but it feels a little bit too dampened for my taste. I've also read somewhere on the forums that Fanatec doesn't recommend FEI below 80 because of this effect and that seems to be true.
Curbs feel fine on 80 for me.

I struggled for quite a while with Default+ because the wheel got way too light while cornering. So I raised and raised all the settings, including FX in hope to get a tighter feeling. Then yesterday it hit me that I had to LOWER FX for higher cornering forces because this setting amplifies the force loss from understeering.
And suddenly it all made sense. Was a true facepalm moment for me. lol

Thank you so much guys for all your help. @Danielkart I switched to the DD Profile with the same Fanaleb settings for the DD and it feels much better already. @Bealdor Default+ Recommendation also feels really nice. So much to fiddle around with, it's crazy :D
