ASR Formula is in game with AMS!

No, but it was easy to see old GSC physics files. Aero values are literally copy pasted from GSC Formula Classic, for instance. Didnt bother to check more, but even default setup values seem the same.

I once got some bits of data from one of the car's designer (643) and weight distribution and aero values are way off. They are aware (or they should, as I texted them long time ago), so hopefully some day they will be corrected.

 

Wow I see it David. The entire hdv is almost exactly from the SCE Formula Classic. No wonder it drives decent, it's almost entirely Reiza physics. (LOL).
Geez at that point the mod may as well direct the physics to the AMS F-Classic.

You know sometimes I just read in amazement at some of the comments in this forum.
I got all the ams modded cars from ASR (5 of them) for 6 euro. They all sound completely different and fabulous and I love driving them. I will spend more than this on lunch today so its completely ridiculous to complain about the cost. FFS don't buy them and get on with racing if your worried about such a small amount of money.
And for your information in case you have not even tried them, I would pay this just for the sound alone, its fantastic and in my opinion better than the devs one.

 

Totally agree mate they are superb. Never enjoyed just hotlapping for the sake of it until I downloaded the asr cars

I must say something on that front. Basically I think you are completely right, but in the case of ASR it's the last time I spend a Dollar/Euro. Last year I donated 20€ to them, only that a month later they changed the system and now ask a "donation" for every single beta car, because the guys where angry at the people who only donated 1€ in order to download beta cars. Now, you can image that I was pretty pissed to have spend 20€ just to get a virtual **** you from them to all the honest people out there. I mean, if they really want to get money for their cars, which I think is totally legit, then they should just ****ing sell them, instead of spamming their site with donating buttons. I at least have learned my lesson, and in the future I will only buy something or donate in the case of proper open source stuff. But donating to a freeware mod team, never again!

 

Got the new cars did a race with them and the asr 92 cars 16 on track. My god the noise . Missus was not happy Superb

 

Yup totally understand your point on that. my comment was a more general sick of people whining over trivial amounts of money for hours of peoples work. No one is forced to buy anything. usually the same people that complain would be quite happy to go out and buy a pack of cigarettes without thinking twice.

 

Yep, that's true.

Btw, ASR stuff is great, that's why I donated 20€ which I think is quite a fair amount. But with their decision they where as selfish as the people they where angry with.
