Yeah of course I'd prefer the sim to control it but AMS just isn't so i set it manually and it works fine, if the car has 540° I just roll it down to 540 on wheel and bump stops still work normally! Fanatec driver is 311 ;)

OK, the lack of bumps stops happens when you do not manually reset the wheel rotation. Before, it worked. Fanatec assures me they know about the problem and will fix it soon.

It seems like its fixed when in the controls options the steeringwheel is assigned as Joy 1 and the pedals as Joy 2.

The other way around makes the auto rotation stop working.

How to make the wheel as Joy 1 I'm not sure, I got it working bij connecting the wheel in another usb port, also turning on the wheel and unplug and replug the pedals seemed to work.

@Sander Hogendoorn Logitech Profiler has an option you can tick to always make the wheel device 1. Not sure if Fanatec has an equivalent but may be worth a look.

There is a little software to assign controller priorities, but I don't know it. @DaVeX may help you in this.

@Sander Hogendoorn you should look at this little tool: Devreorder.
Basically you can fix your devices order and this way your fanatec wheel will be seen always as device 1.

    Hello,
I own a Fanatec set for a few months (CSW V2.5, red Formula V2 and CSP V3).
I would like to know if the problem about auto steering rotation with Fanatec wheels is solved
because I can't get it working with Automobilista (and RFactor 2).
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Do you have the latest firmware and driver? It is supposedly fixed now by Fanatec (and I can confirm for older CSW).

Well then write to them, because it should be working with the latest updates.

Upcoming AMS1 patch will have latest SDK implemented, with some new features working on Fanatec controllers and with that comes support for all the latest Fanatec hardware. From our internal testing, autorotation is working correctly, FFB stop locks work correctly (SEN needs to be AUTO / OFF), without need to reorder devices - personally tested the wheel as JOY1, JOY2 or JOY3, autorotation behaves same in every case.

All of you with access to beta subforum (reiza51) will be given heads-up when patch is out, everyone with Fanatec devices will be more then welcome to take part in betatesting - once patch rolls out onto AMS1 beta branch.

Terrific. Mine is already working, but perhaps that is because it is JOY1.

Sorry to boost this old thread but on my new base i cant get auto rotation to work!! I cant find

"ENABLE CUSTOM STEERING RANGE" is set to NO in-game"

Ive deleted the documents folder and verified in Steam but i have to manually turn the virtual steering wheel on to see what the car is using and manually set my base to sync up! Is there a way of getting the Fanatec DD pro to sync using auto?

There currently is a problem with the latest driver. Auto rotation doesn't seem to work as expected and they suggest to use SEN 1080.

With some games using SEN AUTO it can happen that after closing the game, SEN AUTO is not set back to default. For example after closing F1 22 it can happen that the steering angle is still limited to 360. This can be worked around by using SEN 1080 in a game launched afterwards.

Have a look at that link, maybe you can find some additional informations.

That is disappointing. The third or fourth last version of the driver also had an auto-rotation problem, but it seemed OK in the second most recent one.

AMS1 won't recognize DD PRO nor CSL DD, base must be in "CSW 2.5" compatibility mode.
