Looking forward to trying this one out later , thanks for sharing .
Just one question if you don't mind , with your previous main file you shared a couple of weeks ago I find that there is no sensation of grip loss on the fronts when understeering . Love the overall feel and weight of the steering but literally only realised last night that there is no difference in wheel weight when the fronts lose grip . Wondering if this is just my settings or if there is something within the file that can be adjusted ?
    Thanks in advance .

Hello Azza! Of course I don't know which file you still have from me. Yes there is a value for the grip loss. If you want more increase the value (slip_crossover_line2_start_y 0.2) to your liking Regards

Thanks very much for the information , will have a mess around with it later after work .
For me with my simplicity SW20 wheel base that file is perfect apart from the previously stated problem , if I can sort that then I'll be a very happy chap .

Just a thought guys noticing the asks in the thread for recommendations and settings for wheel X and the help given (again and again :) ) .... would it make sense perhaps to re-write the pinned posts on page 1 (post 1,2 & 3) to be orientated around wheel type/model for simplicity and consistency in where to find the latest settings/files?

All of the info is there, but I can see how it can be daunting/confusing for new users coming to this thread....

    Perhaps:

Welcome to the custom FFB thread. Below is what you find.... start here....

    1. Instructions on how to install and select them (post 1 has this) and perhaps an overview of in-game Gain/LFB/FX/Dampening and best practise
-- Maximum Gain on wheel vs. in-game to avoid clipping/high dynamic range
    -- Less LFB on DD's
-- Dampening in-game vs. on wheel.
    2. Latest files and recommended wheelbase and in-game settings for each of the following:
    - G29

    3. Tips/Guide on what settings/ file variables could be changed for those wanting to experiement (appreciate all files work slightly differently, so call out generics here and refer to files for specifics) - I see post 3 was a placeholder for this perhaps.

    4. Archived files area (I note there's a whole history of files still in first page... needed?)

Happy to help if folks agree.

    Cheers
    Rob

I will when I'm back on PC. Will be a day or so. To clarify, you would like my 4WGrip only file, not the Grip&Stretch one?

    I found this one.

Yes sure the 4.6 is a beauty file ... but if i can advice you the best file ffb for Low/Med Wheels (and specific for Logitech) at this moment are the last file mod of Stakanov 5.0.1.4 "Grip&Stretch v2.0" Yaw version ... you can download in this forum ... here the link ... ;)

Take it easy, now I'm finishing my 2.1 and I will lose a couple of more days before posting this on forum and afther going off-site for checks and works ... so I will no longer be behind the wheel for a month, but I will obviously be able to interact and be available. Good night.

    YES PLEASE!

I'm a big fan of the PC2 Silver raw and the AMS2 v43 -v45. I took an 18-month break due to relocation with work. So I just got back into all the updates to the 5.0 file. That's why I was asking for the latest new DD2 settings previously.

With the new 5.0 files, cornering is a bit harsh for me in the GT3. My whole rig(Simlab Tr1) was shaking from FFB road texture when losing grip or wheel spin. I have to turn down the in-game FX with Experimental "4W. Grip & Stretch" V2.0 (WITHOUT YAW), but I will lose all feeling on the kerbs.

So I use (rFuktor 5.0.1.4 - By Karsten with Shadak, Panos) instead and dial down the FX in-game setting to the following:

    Fanatec DD2
    In Fanalab V1.63
    FFB 100
    FFS PEAK
    NDP 0
    NIN 0
    INT 2
    FEI 100
    FDR 100
    SPR 100
    DPR 100

    In Game
    Gain 23
    LFB 10
    FX 20
    Damping 20

Version 27. I have greatly increased the slip_crossover start and end values. I think the steering has to be much lighter in case of grip loss, and the interception of the car in case of grip loss must offer more time to correct. Together with changed slide values, the result is fantastic. I also changed the slow tyre wear a bit. It can be felt nicely with progressive abrasion of the tires, but not too much because otherwise it covers other ffb signals. File to follow

PS: Stakanov it's all fine with their file because of the vibrations. There were 2 reasons why Michael had these vibrations. 1.) The wheel selection is of great importance (size, weight, leverage) 2.) The bump_scale values were far too high. These 2 values auf about 0.05 place then everything is good. Hope I could help;)

Lovely file thanks . I still can't feel a drop in resistance when the car understeers but apart from that it's perfect .
