Every custom file is tune with a specific wheel (the one we own), not necessarily for a specific wheel :).
Try to contact Elcid43 that liked it in his SC2 Pro (page 359).

I have a different opinion. Reiza also gives recommendations for their defaults for the bases. Yes, the customs are a little more difficult, but that's exactly why I wrote my customs for different powers and also for different bases. If these forces are correct in the file then it doesn't matter whether it is a dd or a belt-base. And with my V400 and now V500 customs it has been made even easier for me to recommend settings for the different bases. Because a lot of filters are eliminated and the file does that for the users

    hi guys.

I am new to AMS 2, and interested in trying custom FFB file for my simagic alpha mini. Which one should i go for?

    Thanks!

There's no mention of my base here, a Leo Bodnar "Sim steering 2" 26nm DD wheel that's the equal or better than anything mentioned here. I've tried a friends Simucube pro and was quite surprised at how much better my wheel felt. Also, it only has basic adjustments for Damping inertia and friction.
Got my wheel in 2016 and still going strong!!

Finding the "correct Custom profile" is really up to the user at the end of the day. There are many great custom profiles available, but I would start with a profile designed to work with wheels in your Nm output range.

Otherwise, most custom profiles can be altered to work with various steering systems (for those open to file-editing exploration). Warning, Rabbit-Hole alert! :p:D

I think this “rabbit hole” process is over for me personally. It was a long journey and there were times when I thought about quitting. But the effort and commitment was ultimately worth it for me and maybe other people out there too. I'm now in the fortunate position that I only have to react to major updates or when I sense that something has changed. As already mentioned several times, the Reiza update 1.5 was the decisive and best advance in physics for me and this also opened up many new and exciting possibilities for me with the FFB. Everything that comes now is a sweet addition:)

Yeah, completely understand where you are coming from. I've spent more than my fair share of time in those (ffb Rabbit holes) over the years. I learned a lot in the process though, so I got much more than just a dirty nose out of it. :)

    Hi, go to page 355,
Danielkart made a V400, but V500 on the way and he makes incredible custom ffb files, you can try V400 and come and try V500 when the magics happen!

Again, Danielkart, you're the best thanks for all!

@Danielkart You also have the Simucube 2 Pro as your main wheelbase right?

I never tested V400/500, keen to test it when it comes out (for 1.5.3). I was very happy with Heavy Messing that i tuned easily to my taste. Now since 1.5.3 my Heavy Messing FFB feel changed a lot. Actually much more than I expected. Instead of re-adusting it for 1.5.3 myself, does anybody know, if Heavy Messing got updated already or will be soon?

The last known version of Heavy Messing is from June 5th 2020, AMS2 changed a lot since then.
There are some very good Custom's now and from my POV at the same ballpark, I would try Daniel Kart, Alegunner68, Joaquim Pereira and Kuku (@RD).
All of them with different approachs but leading to very similar results on my TM-TX, the final choice is up to you.

Hey @Joaquim Pereira thanks for the new version!

I have only one question, I am experiencing quite heavy oscillation under braking when using for example Formula Classic Gen4 M2. Very similar neutral setting in moza pit house to the ones you posted previously, this effect is not noticeable at all with GT cars for example. Which parameters should I look for in the file if I want to reduce this? You can test it out yourself if you try the Gen4 M2 if you want.

Otherwise to solve it I reduced torque output in moza settings. In game I am using 70-0-20-0

    Thanks again!

My file has it's roots in Heavy Messing, but I'm changing the algorithms, not just parameters. You may or may not like it. Try it.

I'm changing the algorithm that effects this in my v6 (next version), among other things ;). Will try that car tomorrow to see how it goes.
    What is the track?

For instance, Road America (and many other tracks!) has lots of ondulation in heavy braking zones that promote that behavior - the track surface creates those ondulations due to tyre forces but I'll try to make them smoother, more nuanced.

Do you guys have a preferred Car/Track combination to test FFB ?

    Hi guys!

As announced, I'm posting the new V500 files to you. With these files I react to the big update from Reiza. There are also additional files to make the range of forces even narrower and more precise. So these files will work even better with the different bases to get a lot of FFB but as little clipping as possible. The extremely large difference in the dynamic range of different bases makes it impossible to use everything with just one file, be it with customs or the defaults. With complicated settings for LFB, damping or inertia, it can only be adjusted to a limited extent. That's why I wrote this V500 in 8 different versions to adapt this dynamic range to the individual bases without having to use LFB, damping or inertia. The file will do that for you and you won't have to worry about it anymore

There are now 9 customs in total:

    1. File V500 1-3Nm
    2. File V500 4-5Nm
    3. File V500 6-7Nm
    4. File V500 8-9Nm
    5. File V500 10-11Nm
    6. File V500 12-13Nm
    7. File V500 14-15Nm
    8. File V500 16-18Nm
    9. File V500 Rally 1-20Nm

How do you best select these files?

    An example:
Personally, I use a Simucube 2 Pro with 25Nm.Now it is important to know what your personal sweet spot is, that is, with how much force (Nm) you feel best.In my case, my personal sweet spot is around 12-13Nm.This means the ideal file for me would be file number 6.If you are not sure then simply test different files according to your personal taste. It is important to adopt the in-game values specified and recommended in the file because they have been tailored to the files.

    Addendum:
The higher the custom file number, the lighter the forces become. The deeper the custom file number, the stronger the forces become. So File 1 works with the strongest forces and File 8 works with the lowest.
First select the recommended file number for your base. But also test a file number higher and a file number lower. The bases can work with the forces very differently and personal tastes are also different

I have also now added some new bases and the recommended settings to the customs. You will find these settings described at the beginning of the file.Of course, you can also use your own personal settings at any time.

You can find these bases in my files:

Simucube 2 Pro (25Nm) is the base I am currently using
    Simucube 2 Sport (17Nm)
Fanatec Csl 2.5 (6Nm Belt Base)
    Fanatec Csl dd (5Nm)
    Fanatec Csl dd (8Nm)
    Fanatec dd1 (20Nm)
    Simagic Alpha Mini (10Nm)
    Simagic Alpha (15Nm)
    Simagic Alpha Ultimate 23Nm)
    Assetek La Prima (12Nm)
    Assetek Forte (18Nm)
    Assetek Invicta (20Nm)

    Change log V500:

    1. Adaptation to the physics and FFB update from Reiza
    2. Inclusion of additional bases
    3. Additional customs for better force and dynamic distribution
    4. Slight increase in initial tire resistance
    5. The off-road intensity has been increased (driving outside the track)
    6. Speed resistance has been increased
    7. The braking feel has been increased while reducing the smoothness and uniformity of braking. This gives you more feeling when braking and more control when braking in curves.

As always, I left the “Flatspot” at 0. This value influences how quickly and how hard a flat tire will occur when braking.Personally, I leave it at 0 because this value is already set very aggressively in physics and can be felt even at 0. Of course, this can be changed in the file according to personal taste (flatspot_scale 0) My recommended range 0 - 0.05

Now, as always, I wish you fast laps and exciting races with Ams2.

    Daniel

    I test with:
    • BMW Z4 (mod) + Londrina Short (great GT3 car + vertical oscilations/jumps)
    • F-USA 23 + Road America (high downforce cars + lost of front grip)
    • GT1 + Hockenheim (because is GT1 !)
    • Group C + Brasilia (raw car characteristics)
    • Sometimes I pick a random car + random track to see possible limitations
