Funny it seems you forget this game is still in development, and i hope they don't stop with it.
So far the default FFB made all these custom-files obsolete for me.
Give the default FFB a try, unless freaking around with this file is part of your game

    Heavy Messing 2.5 Beta

I've been playing a lot of ACC recently and that too has quite a defined centre like rf2. Feels really good so I've been working on trying to get that centre feeling in AMS2 but without losing the natural counter steer you get from weight transfer when transitioning to oversteer. It's quite a simple change in the end, just changed one of the functions a bit and added a new parameter to control it:

    (tightness 0.5)

Increase to get a tighter feel, and decrease to make looser. Range 0.0 - 1.0

@Alegunner68 This may be what you were asking for before. Let me know if it gives you a better feeling.

Edit: Removed beta file, latest can be found here.

Thanks i will, though i think you misunderstand me, the centre feeling i mean is the feel of the road under the wheels. Your latest files are great for cornering feedback, but lacking for my wheel in straight line road feel, there are lots of deadspots on straights when the wheel isn't being turned.
Raising min force adds notchiness and doesn't fix the deadspots.
It's there a setting i can change without overwhelming the cornering ffb?

Ah ok, I'd try increasing min_force until you get the notichness and then back it off just one or two steps so you don't feel it. Then up the micro_details for road noise and macro_details for small bumps. The extra tightness in the latest file should help too as it greatly reduces the the flaccid centre of the default, so you'll usually be up against a little bit of force even on the straights.

Revised the rack variables so that the centre is less notchy.

Nuscorpii, with the tyre scrub around the corners there's quite a sharp noise, on the straight you get that as well but more intermittent. I'm thinking it could be the front tyres but is so much louder than the tyre scrub in some occasions that it makes hard to know exactly what's going on, feels like is the rack/metal body of the car vibrating kinda thing. (the kind of vibrant. that you get dragging a flat wooden wardrobe on a wooden floor, if it helpso_O)

I tried changing the macro/micro and the tightness but I can't make it go away or reduce to zero unless I turn FX super low, and if I do that I lose all the scrub, kerb, road details.

Here's a minimal file I did for testing something. Let me know if you still get any of those vibrations with normal fx using this.

This file feels very floaty in my wheel, almost like if it was losing ffb sometimes. The one before is actually ok the vibration is bad but not constant and it could be my rig as well, Im saying that cos I tested like 4-5 different files and they all seem to have it.
@Alegunner68 what ffb did you have in-game with the heavy messing from before this file? Thanks

I'm using 65/5-35/50. Can't decide on the lfb, it's not making much difference with this file.
Are you still running high fei? I've dropped mine down to about 30 to smooth things out.

Quick update, been away for a while and coming back now for the 1.0 release, last file I tried was "Liberate". Tried the newest nuscorpii and karsten, but honestly for me I dont see much advantage over the default FFB.
Im using a G29 with a 28V adapter instead of the stock 24V so keep that in mind when comparing to your stock G29 or G920 or similar.
The settings I use are default FFB, 89/76/100

@F.Santos try this with these settings - 65/10/60 FEI 30.
May be a bit bumpy in some cars..

I tried this one. I like it for my Fanatec CSWv1. I had brilliant FFB from a previous custom file (sorry cant recall which one) that became not so great after v1.0 release whereby I had this savage kick back on oversteer correction which made the Vintage F1 and Caterhams almost undriveable (Previously some of my favorites).

This file has largely mitigated that (although not completely eliminated it). Whilst I still don't have the level of pre V1.0 release, this is really so much better than the default and others I have tried since for me.

Kudos to you and Karsten for putting in all this work for the rest of us to share. :)

for my TS PC RACER this file is just perfect.I have reduced LFP to 30 and let gain at 100 and FX at 50, Karsten file had gotten rid of most of this vague wheel center feeling I had with the 1.0 default and your input has completely nailed it.

you said that you took inspiration from ACC for that and I also feel so, but for all the rest, the FFB for me in AMS2 is so much better than the Sim from Kunos.
and to me again, with this custom tweaking it has become even better than the best cars in RF2. period.

well done to both you and Karsten:)
