Hello Daniel your custom ffb is magic. Can you make t300 version like IT is but for boost option ON please. It is great and all but when I set boost on option there is great feel in game at start but after 2-3 laps only curbs grass etc are ok but no more that feeling that i look for that was at the start od race: the heavier feel of wheels when i turn the wheel. I have set my t300 like in your description no spring gain 80-85, FX 20,car 100% Please help and thanks in advance. I appreciate your work

    Good morning!
I don't know if I understand you correctly (English-German), but I think you're talking about flatspot.

A flatspot is a worn spot on the tread of a tire caused by braking and noticeable by vibrations in the wheel. This is simulated in Ams2 or other simulations. What you feel after a few laps is this flatspot.

If it's too much for you or you don't want a flatspot, you can easily correct it.

Open your V7000 Topspeed file and find this line:

    (flatspots_scale 0.1)

Now reduce the value to 0.1 to make the flatspot feel less fast and less aggressive. Or set the value to 0 to turn the flatspot off (now you'll feel the same as at the beginning of a race)

Oh, now I understand what he means. No, I would advise against this boost function because it only increases the constant forces. It makes no sense to double these signals from the game with the boost function, because the base can't handle it. At around 4.4 Nm, the limit is reached, and the rest would simply be cut off, or extreme clipping would occur. That was a lot of marketing by Thrustmaster back then, to suggest to people that the base would then be stronger. And it will, but unfortunately with unpleasant consequences, and if you're unlucky, the base will overheat. That's why I would personally advise against it.

Yes ok but can i make the wheel stronger when i turn? I feel wheels more like its suppose to be.(Spring effect is off like in your description) When i turn boost its perfect but after 2-3 laps it turns off and only curbs and few ffb effects are working. Maybe it reach max Nm like you wrote. I need to recalibrate and restart the game. I know that i should get wheel with more Nm. T300 works like i want but more tire fiction or heavier wheel just like in boost mode when turning will make the driving experience complete.

Yes, you'll reach your limits with boost enabled because the power will be too high. But if you want the boost, you can test how it works by reducing the power on your base a bit. Perhaps 90% gain with boost enabled. In the file itself, you can also try reducing this value:

    (master_rack 0.96)
perhaps to 0.86 with boost enabled.

As I said, there are limits here, and the last option for you would be a stronger
    base ;)

I did that but that was not the thing i was looking for.
Personalny best ffb on t300 that i ever had.
I change (increase) only the following:
    Main dials
    (master_rack 2.01)
    (master_road 1.70)

    Rack Settings
    (tyre_initial_resist 4.5)

In GR3 mclaren 720evo or other cars I can feel much faster that car is going on slide.
With no TC (or low 1-3) I can now catch the car faster. Its more responsive.
I feel back wheels more and what's happening with them and the car. Its better feeling overall in my opinion.
    Wheel panel:
Overall strenght of all forces 100
    Constant 100
    Periodic 100
    Spring 0
    Damper 100
    Boost off
Auto center by the game (50%)
    In game:
    Gain 80-85
    Lfb 0
    Fx 16-20
    Damping 0

Please let me know how it feels. I think that there is some room to tweak.
    All cars 100% ffb
    Cheers

Thanks Daniel for the new FFB file! Excellent improvement! I do, however, have a question about understeer drop-off. I've been running the Default+ profile which has a very distinct (and somewhat abrupt) drop-off in FFB for understeer that I've grown to like. Can you point me in the direction of where those settings live or to any dev docs that go through the file attributes. Thanks in advance!

For me, Ams2 is a very diverse simulation with many cars and tracks from different eras. It's important to me that all the cars feel good. That's why I'm creating these files. Personally, I don't like the defaults; they give me a false feeling, and I notice anomalies in the FFB that I don't enjoy. I want to emphasize that this is my personal opinion and doesn't necessarily coincide with other opinions. There are many people who use the defaults and are very happy with them, and that's perfectly fine. Reiza offers the option of creating your own custom files, and I'm very grateful to them for that. With that, I want to say that I won't attempt to transfer the defaults (or the feel of defaults) into my files for the reasons stated above;)

From a business perspective, this is a win-win situation for Reiza. Many people wouldn't be with Ams2 if there were only "defaults." Many people wouldn't be with Ams2 if there were only "customs." Therefore, both the people and Reiza can benefit from this :)
