    rFuktor ? experimental 3.9.9.8

    - This is the one of these last 4 to use. There we flaws and bugs that have been improved, so this is safer and better.

    Biggest improvement since 5.1.0.3, imho.

    * New grip slip algorithm on both front and rear.
    * Clear when oversteer happens.
    * Understeer can be felt by the tear in the front wheels. They start tearing right over peak slip angle instead.
    * 60% Grip loss on rear slide-out.
    * Safety clip on steering angle.
    * Added longitudinal grip slip calculation. Now grip loss on locking the tires is clearly felt. Thanks @GFoyle for noticing!
    * Fixed missing vel_x assignment for each grip calculation.

Credits to @carloscepinha for posting great feedback on several FFB profiles - it inspired some of the work in this file.

    Pretty well tuned, imo.

"low force boost"/LFB-slider is now primarily for reducing downforce and a slight boost of the center force. It can be used in the whole range. If you feel a car produces too much downforce at speed for your liking:
    a) reduce gain - the first thing you should do
    or
    b) increase the LFB significantly
    or
    c) a combination

    Start with ingame:
    - FX at 10%
    - LFB at 15%
    - Gain set so center and fast cornering both feel good. If it becomes too strong in either, lower the gain. On high df cars, with low LFB(15% for example) it is the idea that you should set gain low so cornering at speed feels pretty strong and driving slow is light.

Cars I have tested feel really good with this file. For me this feels "good enough" for now.
But I'm happy to tune and make changes depending on feedback, so if any issues or anything that can make it help you drive faster, I'm happy to hear it.

Feels good on brakes now too. I tried with the M1, GT1 Porsche, F-Ult gen2, Classics Porsche, which all felt good.

Finally I tried it on the Mini JCW and not sure about that one, does it work correcly on a FWD car? If I drive FWD BTCC car on rF2, the I get huge understeer effect when on throttle (wheel goes much lighter) and off throttle it's the opposite, which makes sense as it's a FWD car. With this file, I only got a bit of that understeer effect when on throttle and steering at the same time, but I'm not sure is the car just so capable or is there something to improve in the file for FWD cars. It feels I don't have nearly the same amount of understeer effect for the understeer I actually have compared to those RWD cars I tried it with.

    Try changing:

    (front_drive_torque_feel 0.05)
    to
    (front_drive_torque_feel 0.00)

That 0.05 as it is in the posted file adds a bit of fake force when the front tire pulls, and you likely don't want that, it sounds like.

same as 3.9.9.8 (read that description)

    +
    * Added longitudinal load scale. Adjust "long_load_shift_scale". Adds some front/rear weight transfer. @GFoyle
    * Fixed a bug where some earlier bump variable was still used, however never set.

This is probably the first custom that I have used where it starts to feel almost like cheating on how well I feel the important things to be able to play around with the limit and I have used quite a few good ones over time. Nice work.

ps. I know it's very subjective and it might be that this just suits me better...

A note on that last file, it feels slightly more relaxed if changing this line:

    (load_shift_effect (* load_shift long_load_shift_scale))
    to:
    (load_shift_effect (* (smooth load_shift 0.02) long_load_shift_scale))

or just download it with that minimal change here.

That was the exact expression I used when I was describing to Karsten my expectation and what I was asking of some custom_ffb tweaking ahah xD
