I assume the issue is for formula cars only?
It might be more realistic that you cannot control it, since I assume it comes from the grip loss on oversteer that is less in that file, so even though you are far over the limit, it will still pull you back, where most of the later ones simply will slide the rear.

Or do you think it's something else?

I agree with you, Raceroom is a hidden gem with its variety and selection, but the graphics aren't particularly good. It's a shame you don't have the opportunity to test a VNM.I just compared a McLaren GT3 1:1 with Ams2.And unfortunately, I have to admit that Raceroom and many other sims do everything much better with GT3 cars than Ams2.GT3 is currently a question mark for me in Ams2?But it's irrelevant for me personally, because I rarely drive GT3 and can enjoy Ams2 with other cars and classes.

    @Karsten Hvidberg
I'm all over the last release on T300 and will use rF2 for DDs (I tried both files on all 3 bases).
Surprisingly the last version feels a lot better on T300 compare to rF2. The center feels so tight and and the force is not as aggressive on HD cars at high speed (it just blends in so well). Low to mid speed feel is also much more enjoyable. I did not feel any difference in tire contact, but the force feedback feels a lot more dynamic on T300.

I find Rf2 perform better on my DDs.

I normally don't drive GT3/4 cars (my least favorite classes), but I still think there's room for improvement in terms of handling of those classes (not by you, but ReiZa). GT4 feels absolutely broken.
I was wondering if there could some files targeting individual classes. Let's say GT4 only (that class needs help big time).

Group C takes the crown with your file. I live and breath that class. LMDh feels great too.
LFB has been lowered to 15 (sometimes 10) on T300 as the last release has a very strong center feel.

Thanks for the gift big guy,

Did you try these edits to the last file too, change these lines to:

    (oversteer_boost_after_peaksa 4.5)
    (OVERSTEER_BOOST_START -0.05)
    (OVERSTEER_BOOST_WIDTH 0.15)
    and
    (yaw_scale 1.25)

    ?

They make several cars much better imho, so might help gt4.

Btw, by "rF2" do you mean the very first version, or the "blended"?

No way I edit those files. To me it's like drawing mustache on The Mona Lisa to see how she looks. If you think those changes will help & are neccacery; lez do another release

Karsten, Odly I am feeling less grip from this file and I too am experiencing the snap back to center on oversteer @Dylbj is also having. In much the same way I too feel what the rear is doing nicely but, struggle to save it when it steps out. I really like the FRONT_GRIP_DROP_SHAPE that has been added in this file. To me it feels like the front end is lighter at slower speeds and loads nicely as the speed and load increase. I have made a couple of tweaks to have just a bit more feeling at slow speeds and try and reduce the snap back to center on oversteer. Below are the settings I changed and the values used:
    (FRONT_GRIP_DROP_SHAPE 1.20)
    (oversteer_boost_after_peaksa 2.0)
    (OVERSTEER_BOOST_START -0.05)
This has given me a bit more road feel at slower speeds while still feeling lighter than the previous blended file and I can still feel the load increase with speed and increased grip. It seems to have also settled down the snap back to center I was experiencing with this latest file.

Less grip sounds odd, yes, did you raise ingame gain enough?
I'm tempted to try to merge some of the new things in to the blended, to simply improve that one slightly, for another combo...

Yes, tried raising gain and did provide more sense of grip but, at the expense of even stronger snap back to center feeling. That is what I was really trying to improve. In making the adjustments the byproduct ended up feeling like slightly increased front grip and less snap back to center on oversteer.

I have been testing exclusively on FUSA Gen 2 & 3. I have played with setups to reduce the turbo/power on acceleration. But with the blended I can feel the loss of traction earlier and correct. With others there is a brief delay in the snap to centre, and more force with that, and when it happens I struggle to correct it.

Could be age, and loss of reflexes that come with that :)

I want to try raceroom more. I just don’t have the right pithouse and in game setting.
For ams2, there are not really a lot of choose for modern endurance with imsa.decent graphic and good AI. All sim have their gt3, but none of them got the same duo of cars and imsa track.

RR is a less complex simulator (no rain, no day/night cycle) and I guess the tyre model is also not as good as SETA. But it works well! I recently had a friend trying Portimão in LMU and RR and he prefers RR feeling. I did too... (not saying it's better, just... feels better :D).

I didn't change a thing on my R12 - it's the same for all games. RR, like ASM2, also has the possibility to change FFB multiplier while driving - that's it!

I'm not saying the Ams2 GT3s are bad, but they do have obvious problems. The feel isn't good at the steering axis, in my opinion, regardless of the base. These cars are "boats" on the road for me, lacking any connection to the road. I hope Reiza will fix this at some point.
