Yes, I know what you mean. There are a few settings you could play around with to try to improve upon this. Try some of the following:

lat_load_shift_scale: change back to the original value of 0.175
    exaggerate_front_load_feel: change back to zero
    center_full: lower to 0.25
    GRIP_LS_GAIN lower to 0.2
    GRIP_FLOOR lower to 0.06

It can be a bit time-consuming to test these as you'll need to test each setting individually and then in combination. Sometimes improving the feeling of one aspect can make another part of the FFB feel worse so it can be a bit of a trade-off. You also need to close and restart the game after each change for it to take effect.

I'm running SC3 Pro but, not using custom files.
I find the Default / Default+ work very well.

Since the new update, my FFB goes a little bit blunt...i use Karstens 3x blended file, in the previous update, i have good road feeling with them etc...so its lively, i get clipping at 65 gain.

...now my wheel doesnt clip at 65-70 gain since the nascar update, but the road feel, and other effects are so dull...anyone notice the same who use custom ffb file ? (My english is not perfect, but i do my best to describe the feeling :D )

I use a slightly modded version of the same file, and yes the new tyres have dulled the ffb. I have just upped the gain by 10 in the game to compensate, but I think I am going to see if I can adjust some settings in the file.

    Blended 3x File *
I've just bump up "#Road bumps, details and suspension" scale from 1.20 to 1.30, its better now, and not too dull.
I will test the last Karsten file with this same change...i didn't try this it before (just for test it, but i reverted back to blended 3x before 1.9 update).

For the longest of times default and default + FFB were driving me nuts. As soon as I tried rFuktor custom FFB as found here Other - AMS2 Custom FFB - rFuktor Ultimate Evo Tune - By Kuku | OverTake.gg I knew I finally found what I needed.

However there is still one small problem that's bothering me and I was hoping someone could help me. This is the last 5% missing to have 100% perfect FFB for my own tastes.

Default AMS2 FFB has almost zero road bump effects ( curbs are fine ) unless you are turning ( for example during cornering ). So imagine driving on Oulton , your car is always moving after passing over dozens of bumps and road irregularities but you don't feel anything unless you are cornering. This doesn't make any sense.

Now with rFuktor the Dampener slider fixes this. It enhances road bump response and with a setting of around 40 I can finally feel how bumpy Oulton is even during the straights. However I wanted to enhance it a bit more. Sadly by increasing the slider to something like 70 for example it makes curbs completely dangerous. Ramble strips vibrate my entire body and sausage curbs clip the FFB signal.

I was wondering if it's possible to somehow reduce curb effects but at the same time increase road bump effects to sort of bring them to the same level.
As for those who may think I am crazy it's a bit of a shame having laser scanned tracks but no proper road surface feedback. Makes it feel almost like Raceroom.

Set the slider to your comfort level with curbs, etc., and then open the file in Notepad and edit it to adjust the appropriate scale.

    # Road features settings
    #

    (texture_scale 0.12)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.275)
    (micro_bumps_smooth 0.08)
    (kerbs_surface_scale 5.2) #influences rumble speed and feel
    (kerbs_surface_smooth 0.04)
(kerb_bump_scale 1.0) #How big the tall curb bumps are.
(large_track_bump_scale 0.2) #how much bumps on the track are felt.
(large_offroad_bump_scale 0.4) #how much bumps off the track are felt.

Increase by a factor of 0.1 until you're happy, ( you will have to allow file to override save and restart game to get new feeling each time. )
micro_bumps_scale might also benefit from an increase.

By the way, this file is very soon to be superseded, watch this space... but the same principle will apply, it won't be too extreme one way or the other as a middle ground of personal taste and wheelbase sensitivity, so basic editing to suit might still be something to learn.

Sorry for this noob quesiton but for me it is very hard to keep track of all the available options here in 500+ pages of this thread. Esp. when just looking for updates from the file I am using. Is there somewhere a more organized overview? Like a spreadsheet or something?

Hi Kuku, I've been using your custom FFB for over a year now and find it the best for my driving style. I use a 12nm Fanatec ClubsportDD base and find all the adjustments perfect. I'm curious to try out the improvements.
    Thanks!!!!

    Hey everyone,

I've been using Daniel's kart files for a long time and have always been very satisfied, which is maybe the main reason why Steam shows over 1200 hours on my AMS2 :) .

Two weeks ago, I finally tested Karsten's and GWiz's file for the first time. What can I say? I've fallen in love with AMS2 all over again. Thanks to everyone involved, Karsten and especially GWiz – I've been using your file for about 20 hours now and i am extremely happy.

Now Daniel is making a comeback? ....I'm back again in testing mode.

In the end, I'll use (that's my current feeling) different custom files for some vehicles.
Imagine if Reiza could somehow make it possible for us to have at least 3 custom files in-game that we can switch between.

Thanks again to everyone involved, and keep up the good work! All the best for 2026 !
