Update: still using "it's in the details" with a G29, still good but I want more. Driving the formula ultimate, I'm not getting any feedback before snap oversteering, so I can't catch it. In general feedback regarding oversteer is lacking.
The tried "control is power" but with the same settings as "it's in the details" and no changes in the ini file, it felt worse for me. I will wait for a newer version and try again.

    Update:

    * Removed inter dependencies between some effect selections.
    * Added more road fx on/off options at the top. All road enhancements can now be individually enabled.

    Custom ffb file attached "Liberate":

@Slapshot82, @John Hargreaves, @Tassydevil & everybody else: The 1st post has been updated with installation information as you suggested.

All suggestions for improvements to anything in that post are always welcome.

    Thanks again!

    Cheers!

    Non-essential technical update:

    * Wheel type selection. Only affects the "road_fx" strength for now.

In this iteration you have to set one wheel type to 1.0 and the others to 0.0, but we can change to a single value with option between multiple values, if we prefer that instead.

    Still it's "Liberate" inside:

Alright @Karsten Hvidberg, your "Great Power Means More Control" is great, but the "center_enhance" change made for the wheel doesn't feel quite right for me.

I took a Stockcar to Interlagos and what I noticed is that on the straights the weight of the car oscillates a lot but like from 0 to 100, the impression that I get is that the car has one front wheel at times.

Going up the main straight as well, the car seems to have some dips in weight, like, all over sudden the car goes light. If you short cut the straight by running close to the wall and pitlane on the left and through the dirt, the car becomes lighter in that part in a weird way (when over the dirt). I experienced the same feeling with the GT Ultima going downhill in Donington, the weight/ground variation is too exaggerated I think.

I can feel in both and I thought this center_enhance was gonna help to fix that, is the notching you get when the wheels are pointed straight, but it's not for that is it? I can remove the notchiness if run low Gain in both files yours and Nus, but that's a compromise.

Thanks Karsten, I'll have a mess around with this tonight, I like the way you have put lots of instructions as to what everything does alongside the code, and anything that's not clear I know to leave well alone.

    Hey Santos,

    Thank you,

The new files provide more control and same settings otherwise, if you switch between the center_enable on and off, do you feel it get better and worse as well?

    Cheers!

I was testing your file, and I have a doubt: I have a T150, so I enabled T300 because I think is the closest wheel... What do you think about it?

And other question: do you guys think this is normal? I've been playing simulation games a lot of years and I've not seen anything like this. Modify a .txt to have good ffb? I'm very surprised and angry. The most of us can't understand this things properly, it's not user friendly. Do you think that is going to be forever or is a momentaneous thing?

Well, ffb is always work in progress. Talk with iceracing about that one.
Default is ok, but not quite perfect yet, so this file is really only for those of us that can't wait I'm sure it'll be great sometime in the future on default

Yes @Karsten Hvidberg, I can turn that effect off on the switch thanks.

If I unable one of these options it seems to bring it back though.
(road_details_grip_feel_enhance 0.0) # experimental feel of grip based on speed & road surface
(road_bumps_mid_size_enhance 0.0) # Seems to be good on csw wheels bases?
(road_soft_bumps_enhance 0.0) # Not sure this is ever used any more.

One more thing, you changed the way you write the code for tyre scrub, I wanted to move the Tscrub/feel a bit forward to feel more in line with the sound, what parameter would do that?

I haven't changed the scrub code for a while and it looks the same in the latest release.

To bring the effect in sooner lower this value for the front:
    (sf_s 0.55)

And this one for the rear:
    (sr_s 0.52)

I corrected that for you. :)

What does (lfb_k 0.15) do? I find raising the number feels better in some of the files, it seems to smooth the force build up around centre.

It's one of the parameters given to the LFB function. 0.15 is the default, so if you find higher values work, go for it. Not entirely sure what it does but it modifies the gamma curve in someway.

Thanks guys. Testing out Liberate here on my G920 and loving it. Question, my wheel rattles like a popcorn bag in the microwave on the straights. Especially in the F3 and bumbier tracks like Oulton. Is it possible to make changes to the file to reduce the amount of oscillations on straights? Thanks a lot!
