I am posting v43 right now, can you check if it's still the case in that one?
If so, please let me know a good track & car combination to feel it & we will fix it.

@LugNut new version v43 just posted has a new value "rear_grip_loss_feel".
It is default set at 0.0, and you can adjust it up to max of 1.0, depending how much you want the steering to get lighter on rear wheel grip loss.
It has many other adjustment as well, hopefully mostly improvements, but somewhat experimental.

.43 fixed it, I think it was related to steering angle grip loss that was over exaggerated
in prev version. Not sure what all you changed but it's feeling good now, lightens up but not overkill. I think I like the .43 version on the Simucube2 better than the Panos Blend. Great work, you guys just keep improving just when I think it's finally as good as it gets! Thanks everyone who's contributing.

    That's good to hear,
it was exactly what @Panos Schoino & @Kuku Maddog pointed at & adjusted out, among other things.

I'm using a T300 wheel an I'm feeling no difference at all between Effects 0 and Effects 100. Is this supposeed to be this way?
Anything I can do about it? Thanks!

There is far less of a difference when it comes to the road texture and minor bumps than earlier it seems.
But engine vibes, scrub & kerbs are def. way more pronounced at 100%.

Will make a bigger difference on the road and bumps in next version.

If you want more of the old for road texture & minor bumps, you can lower the 0.005 in these 2 lines:
    (texture (smooth texture 0.005))
    and
    (road_details (smooth road_details 0.005))

maybe to 0.002. If that's not enough, then delete the 2 lines completely.

    @Karsten Hvidberg
Man this file is great, using mid. Across a wide variety of cars and never adjusted FFB .
I wasn’t sure how the rear slip feel would work, but it ties everything together so well I’m power sliding for the fun of it, couldn’t hold it at well previous.
I found rear slip at 1.0 a bit to much or getting too light with my lite wheel style, so settling on 0.5 and matched with 0.5 oversteer feels great.
Also reduced stretch back down all the way off to 0.0 as it does just add a little lump on regaining grip and as you say it’s not really needed on belt wheel.

    Hey Manuel,

Which kind of tire load do you mean?
I am also not sure what you mean by "more rear axle"?

    Hey Kuku,

which exact values are you referring to? I would like to try the same for testing here, but need to be sure I'm adjusting the same 2 ones as you.

.43 is the best yet for me. (OSW SC1, using High) As per @Kuku Maddog oversteer_scale decreased to 0.5 and rear_grip_loss_feel increased to 0.5. Oversteer now feels more communicative and catchable and holding a slide more natural. Brilliant work. Thank you.

I hope for less FFB at bumps on the road, but when then car oversteering, it can be more.

LOW .43 on G920 ... i came from .42 with value 50-80-85-0 ... and now to .43 with value 45-80-75-0 but i change some value in the ffb low file..... ;)

Thanks to Peter Stefani for the comparison of opinions which took place in private on the ffb file and its values and sensations ... here is the my file with some modified values compared to the default LOW ... I communicate that I like a steering wheel that is not very heavy but neither very light, with a very full center and seasoned with most effects.

I think that Peter's information, that he loves a slightly lighter steering wheel with less invasive effects, will not be long in coming ... thanks again to all!!!
Edit: Sorry ... I had not seen that Peter's file .43 was already inserted in the second post ...

First you need to post your model wheel , file choice and in game settings & wheel system settings .

    Kuku,
Couldn't he just turn down in game fx slider, and put a higher rear grip loss value in file? Assuming a not so heavy wheel game gain setting?

    I think I have a new favorite :)
Did some testing with .43, and it is the best so far. Nice balance between the various forces, nothing over the top.
The only thing I noticed was that I had to turn the in game gain down by 5-10 depending on the car compared to .38.1, so it seems like the overall force is higher than in earlier versions? I don't know if that was intended or a side effect of some of the changes?

Anyway, feel free to change the first post, @Karsten Hvidberg, and make .43 my preferred version for the Fanatec DD1 :)
