What is Automobilista 2?

Automobilista 2 is the culmination of a project developed over the course of nearly a decade. At its core, it is a comprehensive simulation of the brazilian motorsports scene, featuring all major brazilian racing series, race tracks and manufacturers.

Packing an even larger roster of diverse cars and tracks than its predecessor, Automobilista 2 will venture further into the best of international motorsports, including prestigious brands such as Mclaren and BMW along with iconic venues such as Silverstone, Mount Panorama and Imola, at the same time continuing to explore the more exotic and exciting forms of motorsports from around the world.

Boosted by a new technical partnership with the developers of the award-winning Project CARS series, Automobilista 2 is built on the MADNESS engine, providing incredible graphical quality, the most advanced dynamic weather and track condition systems in a racing simulator and superior VR support, to deliver a substantial realism upgrade over its precedecessor and a fully immersive visual experience.

The game has a long-term development plan that will see continual developments being made over several years following its release, with the addition of new game modes, features, cars and tracks.

When is Automobilista 2 being released?

The game was initially released as an Early Access title on March 31st 2020, with official V1.0 release taking place on June 30th 2020.

How much will Automobilista 2 cost?

Current pricing since release is set to US$ 39.99 / €36.99 / R$ 119,99. It may however receive a price bump once more premium content is added to the base game.

What cars and tracks are in Automobilista 2?

A list of cars and tracks in the current build of the game can be found here. This will constantly expand all the way to release and beyond.

Why does Automobilista 2 feature so many Brazilian cars and tracks?

Reiza is a Brazilian company and we have featured the main Brazilian series in all our titles - we enjoy great relationships with the main parties from the Brazilian motorsports scene and even though our titles have expanded their scope to include more and more content from all kinds of motorsports with cars and tracks from every corner of the Globe, the Brazilian series continue to feature prominently for the unique value they add to the sim.

What is Automobilista 2 Beta?

Automobilista 2 Beta - like it´s predecessor Automobilista Beta for AMS1 - is a separate AMS2 app on Steam available exclusively to Reiza Backers who contributed to the development of the game before the main game release; after the game has been released AMS2 Beta will continue to receive early beta updates and new WIP content (free or DLC) before they are deployed to the main game release.

Can I buy Automobilista 2 Beta?

AMS2 Beta is currently available exclusively to backers from the Automobilista 2 Early Backing Campaign - the campaign will be closed on February 29th. AMS2 Beta continued to be a part of the Bundle including AMS2 & all planned DLCS until AMS2 was released on March 31st - AMS2 Beta is not currently available for new users.

Does AMS2 include car / track X from AMS1? Will it?

Most of the cars and tracks which were part of AMS1 should become part of AMS2 at some point - if it isn´t in the current list of confirmed Content it´s for one of the following reasons: 1- the original model is way too outdated and requires complete remodelling (which may or may not happen in the future), 2- It requires a large amount of rework to be brought up to spec (likewise may or may not happen), 3- It´s a better fit for one of the planned Expansion Packs, 4- In case of a car series, it may no longer exist which may make licensing difficult.

Will AMS2 include car / track X?

There will be no shortage of interesting cars and tracks added over the course of Automobilista 2 development, both popular and more exotic items - we just are not able to confirm all under consideration or in negotiations but we will regularly be announcing them as they become confirmed in our monthly Development Updates.

Will AMS2 feature official multiplayer events and rating / ranking system?

Yes, a Multiplayer Ranking System is planned to be added before the end of 2020.

Will Automobilista 2 have a Custom Championship Tool like AMS1?

Yes, theCustom Championship Tool is planned to be added before the end of 2020

Will Automobilista 2 have a Career mode?

Yes, the endgame for Automobilista 2 is to deliver the most comprehensive and true-to-life career mode ever designed for a racing game, connecting the game´s incredibly vast and ever-growing ensemble of Cars and Tracks into a cohesive journey accross several decades of motorsports. This however should only be added to the game towards the second half of 2021.

Does Automobilista 2 support VR?

YES

Does Automobilista 2 support triple screens?

Yes

Does AMS2 work well with a gamepad or keyboard?

While our core focus is on simulation and these usually demand a higher range of analogue control, we intend to make AMS2 accessible and enjoyable to all racing game fans.We believe AMS1 has great gamepad support and we intend to match that with AMS2.

Will Automobilista 2 be released on consoles?

For the time being all focus is on the PC release - once the game has been out for some time and we feel confident it´s fully matured a console port is possible, but no concrete plans on that front yet.


What is the maximum number of cars in a field?

The current limit is for 32 cars in both single and multiplayer, depending on potential restrictions from specific cars and tracks.

Will graphics / audio / AI / physics improve?

Yes - irrespective of how you feel about AMS2 in its current state rest assured development will continue for at least a few years - a lot of evolution will happen in this time in all fronts of the sim.

Will there be a safety car / full course yellow rules?

Not for initial release, but these features are part of our longer term plans.
