It's the output of a diff command to show the differences between two files. What you've posted is the diff output saved as a file, maybe left over from a patch in a beta release by a dev if you have no idea what a diff is.

Probably because the game couldn't parse it so it switched back to another default.

I posted the 0.8.2 version, try that and see if it makes a difference.

Well, actually a merge conflict file after an svn update. Shouldn't be in there anyway.

I think Reiza just responded to your request in release 0.8.7!!
What a greatly improved ffb it is, at least to me!
Still room for improvement, on some cars more than others, but this issue is at least getting attention it seems.

    0.8.7 Feedback on FFB...
Since it's technically impossible to make every happy with the perfect FFB, why not adding additional sub-sliders under FX and expose how much blend people want for... (instead of hiding it in the FFB settings)?

    (custom_lock_stop 0.5)
    (engine_scale 0.9)
    (scrub_scale 10.0)

Actually, what are the limits for those variables? I love the engine vibration a lot, but the 0.8.7 reduced it to highlight the scrub (which I now adore!!) but what are the maximum values to avoid over saturation? Again, adding sub-sliders to control the blend between tyres and engine scales would be FANTASTIC!

###arm_force -- equivialent of "max force at steering rack" in ams1
    (custom_lock_stop 0.5)
    (engine_scale 1.0)
    (scrub_scale 10.0)

Does anything in that file make your FFB get more than 100 gain?

Great idea. Do you mean the value in the telemetry HUD? Where can I measure 100 gain?

I mean in the FFb settings I can set it from 0 to 100 gain. but even at 100 it is nowhere near max output for my wheel, so it's realy low. Could be a possible fix to increase it beyond 100 since it has obviously been mesured wrong.

How do I see the telemetry anyway? Couldn't find it in my hud options.

Cycle through the HUD, it's the last one. Map a button.

I'm not quite sure which figures you mean?
I did erase the whole Automobilista folder under Documents to make sure no old crap was bleeding in. Then I set the ffb in-game as I like it, something like:
    gain: ~50
    lfb: ~15
    fx: ~50

My TrueDrive settings for the Simucube 2 I have not changed.
