That is a very good question. I'm not sure to be honest. The overall FFB felt slightly softer but could be placebo, but the ridges around Brands are certainly different. I've driven Brands the most out of the tracks as it's one of the most detailed track surface wise, so it will be hard for me to say if other tracks suffer too. There were some updates to Brands in 0.9.1 too, so potentially something to do with those.

Just FYI, for non-DD users, various LFB and FX combinations can result in virtually no feedback at all coming through (you read people on here talking about disappointingly limp or non-existent FFB), or, a feel like you are driving over a field of rocks. Fortunately in between those two is great and plausible feedback for most hardware. Even sausage curbs can be harsh down to imperceptible. Maybe these ridges are in a completely different category? I would fiddle and test, but am too exhausted from FFB adjusting to bother any more. My FFB seems about as good as it could get on many/most vehicles, so am just leaving it for now!

This is the issue bud. I know how good the FFB can be because I've felt it. I've spent a ridiculous amount of time messing with settings, tweaking custom files, and testing testing testing so I know exactly what you're talking about. But for me at least, the FFB felt decidedly different (and worse) after reinstalling AMS 2 + 0.9 patch than it did a couple of hours before on the previous patch. In-game settings the same, and it feels worse on both New and Old defaults, as well as my custom profile. It's really weird. I thought it must be something on my end, but it seems others have detected the same.

I've literally been sitting here for hours today messing with settings and files again trying to get the "feel" back in my FFB, but with limited success so far. Really disappointing.

Could be either, I cant recall other tracks having the same bits, or rather I cant remember which ones :) ... I tried raising FX more when I tested it but it eas still smoothed out on both Old and New.

I am sure you saw my earlier post about the "bump" and temporary light FFB I experienced. I'll say it again...it's like voodoo :)

Maybe there are some wheel-base differences too? To be honest, my FFB still feels awesome and largely the same apart from the ffb spikes I got before not being there anymore. And I take that as a good thing because on DD it some times wasnt comfortable and quite sudden.

Yeah, now all I need is a good witch doctor to point me in the right direction!

I also saw your post on sausage curbs being anything from brutal to non-detectable. Right now, I can't get them back at all regardless of settings. Again, fine before the patch, but now like they're not even there.

I'm close to giving up to be honest. Messing about with this just isn't any fun. :(

Something does seem to be amiss to be honest. Thing is, with my previous New Default settings 55-85/35/50, I seem to be missing compression feedback that should be there regardless, most notably topping the crest of hills at Oulton Park and major bumps are just non-existent in the FFB. Thing is, the feeling of sausage curbs comes thru much better for me.

Sadly, I too am starting to get frustrated. Even with such limited sliders to tune the feedback, I simply cannot find something that I can race with at the moment where I can shake the feeling that critical feedback is missing. Even major adjustments to the LFB & FX don't seem to bring a defined increase in specific effects like they did just a few weeks ago.

I don't feel any difference in ffb comparing to 0.8.7. I use new default and ffb feels perfect for me.

You guys who haven't yet need to put your hardware in the signature so we can see if there is any pattern to who is feeling differences versus who is not.

I'm not sure that anything other than our racing hardware would make any difference, to be honest. I'm on a T300 with G27 pedals and h-box.

T300 here too, T3PA w/loacellmod, can not feel any difference after last update. Using 80/40/50.

I drive on Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 and I have tested all default. But the best default it "OLD Default". It's more realistic, has better ffb effects and has rumble effects on curbs too. Why is "New Default" so bad? I hope that the OLD Default is available alltime.

Its really strange that there would be so much discrepancy, I find old too grainy and the center too light and fast turning/cornering too heavy. New seems much more balanced (on DD1 at least) plus I think they added some of the effects to New but not Old so I dont want to miss out on anything.

I'm not sure if it was the update or not. I was having most of these same issues with 0.8.7.1 unless I had the Gain up so high that the wheel weight was too heavy.

On another note, I've had F1 2019 since the day it released, but haven't given it a go since I've swapped wheels to my T300 and rebuilt my PC to it's current form. I put a lot of time in the previous title with my previous wheel, which was a CSL Elite w/McLaren GT3 rim - so I'm very familiar with titles FFB system. I was able to quickly dial in my T300 to exactly what I wanted, and also realize the FFB improvements in this title from the previous iteration.

My intention of stating this isn't for a direct comparison of these titles' FFB against AMS2, but that this did give me confidence that my wheel is performing correctly and I can indeed quickly tune FFB to my liking in a new title with this T300, which I'm still getting used to. I have to say though, even though F1 2019 is not a full simulation, I am finding that I can feel much more of what the car is doing here than I can with the formula cars in AMS 2 currently.

The Old and New require different settings from each other for Gain, LFB and FX. So they will not both feel good at the same time. If you adjust properly for New, then Old will suddenly feel bad.

Hi there, I've tried the latest build 0.9 and with a G29 the FFB is too, too weak in my opinion.
Even with all the effects at 100% (gain, lfb, fx and the spring thing). The behaviour of the car between test day and race now is quite similar: with the previous build in test day I felt a lot of grip which was lacking when I've entered the race, where the car was a lot more slippery (I've tried mainly the Formula V10). In terms of AI, at the maximum (120% strenght and 100% aggression) it's quite fast but catchable (I've tried Interlagos, I don't know if on other circuits is different or not), but not too much incline to defend or attact.

I really hope the final build will have a stronger FFB like the one there was in AMS1. This is the main part where I think all you guys have to concentrate on: the project is really good, the driving model is more enjoyable but need some work. Oh yes, karts: please, fix their steering inputs. It doesn't exist that I have to turn the wheel like on a car in order to drive them through the corners!

I have that wheel. New default feels absolutely perfect. I’m driving F3 and Roco 99% of the time. 60/40/50.

Haven’t tried old default since the transition.

I gotta say this: anyone with poor ffb, if you are testing in anything other than time trial, make sure you warm your tyres (typically 3 laps).

Correct, but at least with G29, I doesn't change too much. The FFB is always weak. I have also increase the caster but I don't feel any substantial difference.
