There is a good thread with lots of settings to try out on the Simucube forum:
    Automobilista 2 - Simucube 2

Can't post my settings right now as not at my pc.

    I have seen it, thanks.
Ok the Settings and Files are really good. Also they made a lot of noise in my Simucube. I prefer my own new default Settings i postet earlier. FFB is such a personal taste...thanks for this file(sometimes i switch over). Now up to the next patch. Overall its a great driving experience in this title. Nice weekend

I have to try it again, downloading the File my scrub scale was on 150 instead of 1.0...

This file works great on my V2.5 too, nice one!
After almost an hour fiddling with it and going back to the original Reiza file here's what I think.

The Custom file feels very raw and the tyre scrub with the ultima around Interlagos allowed me to feel which wheel was losing grip, whether left or right, front or back. Really awesome. But the road feel was a bit too much for me, not because of the road itself, but I think it was the engine noise too loud in the mix.

Personally, If I could have the FFB smoothness of the latest Reiza update and low engine noise combined with the tyre scrub and road noise/feel that you get from this Custom file it would be perfect!

    Tobi,

I use the recon 0, limit slew rate 0.1 settings as posted in the granite devices forum. It really is a good trick for this game.

I then set dampening and friction to something 15-20 so there's no too light weird spots in the steering. Inertia somewhere 5-10.
Also setting NM in the range 10-12 to not accidentally lose my hands on my formula rim
In game I then use gain of 60-80.

    Cheers!

Open up the file you downloaded and change (engine_scale 0.2). New Default has it set to 0.1, 0.0 will turn off the engine vibration altogether.

Did you try changing in the ffb file:
engine_scale to 0.0 (I drive without engine noise most of the time myself)
road_scale to 0.000005 (or even less)

And set the FX in game to 15-20 ish?

Hehe, also make sure to try Lfb around 50 or lower too.

    I have G27 wheel.
    Best feeling for me is:

    Gain: 75
    LFB: 80
    FX: 75
    Spring: 10

Is the FFB capped at a certain strength ? With the T300 i can go up to 76 on the GAIN and throw everything at the wheel and the FFB is clipping free. If i just go one click further - 77 i get massive clipping ? Also i the spring setting in the menu is broken for the last two version for me, not that matters at all actually.

T300 here and I don't have that issue. With New Default I can take it up to at least 80-85 in most cars before seeing any real clipping. Bear in mind that the other sliders can also contribute to clipping too, it's not solely down to your gain setting.

For me the menu spring works on the main menu, but stops working as soon as I load a track.

That did hey! I lowered the road_scale to your 0.000005 and it feels ridiculously good now, I even added a bit more engine_noise since that wasn't the problem. Before the road noise was a bit too coarse if that makes any senseo_O.
The level of detail/feeling from the road and tyre scrub now is the best I had yet, and I was truly happy with the last Reiza update alone.

Problem is, to get somewhere close to what I have with this file now I had to run LFB quite high at 55 and it made the steering quite heavy for most cars, but when driving like the Fusca or Opala86 it just didn't feel quite right. Now I can really feel the difference of weight at low and high speed (under load, dunno if that's the right term), and tyres (rubbery struggle:D)around corners from car to car, which is what I've been missing.

For reference, if anyone wants to try my setup, I'm on a V2.5: 75.10.35 - engine_scale to 0.2
    road_scale to 0.000005
    Thanks!

Sorry for misleading, i am trying the custom profile that is discussed in the thread. I find it much better that the new Default, as the feel really benefits from the low forces that are amplified with it. With the custom one i think there is a cap (seeing it in the txt file, but cannot decipher it :) )

    Hi shushkata,

Which ffb file are you using?
If it's the one I posted I would have to take a look.

It's a mix of several. I will post it here. I know it's a bit too immersive, but racing in ACC for some time i needed some kick. Give it a try if you like - ingame settings are 76/25/80, where effects are a bit too much. I test the FFB on OultonPark (as it was a laserscanned track in PC2) and the MRX Turbo P2

I know what you mean... It's one of the things making acc not as fun as it could be..
I am on mobile and it seems like NuScorpiis file mostly, so I am not so sure what it might be.
When exactly/under what conditions does it clip?
It might help if you try the one I posted last too, if you can see if that clips as well under similar circumstances?

I'd have thought the issue would be the road_scale. 4.0 is pretty high. It might be that the road noise is then saturating the ffb so that when you go over the 100% bin it is mostly the noise going into the clipping. Try reducing that and see if you still have the same issue.

The FFB is hard clipped to a max value, so anything over that value appears in the clipping part of the histogram and the force output will be flat at max.

hello. any advice for a TS PC Racer owner who just jumped into the train of AMS2?
I can see Old,new and Custom FFB choices but they have left me a bit underwhelemed with Roadfeel, I am Ok with physics and steering feel overall but yes a bot more vibes from the Road would be nice (without having to kick-off Simhub to run my Bass shakers). I am coming from PCARS2 where I run Custom FFB set-up with JackSpade file and its working really great for me in most of the cars I drive (with adjustment on InGame Volume,Tone and FX obviously). I seem to have seen some comments about Custom files for AMS2 FFB but it seems they are more DD wheels oriented. thanks so much
