    I agree with @NuScorpii & @Goffik

Here's a list of issues in the default FFB, as I see it:

    * They killed scrub(toned it WAY down & changed angles)! It was there when EA launched & impossible to live without when you've felt how that was.
    * LFB at center of wheel, driving straight. This is easily felt at high ingame LFB setting. It's fixed in the custom ffb, as it works on deltas instead for those small changes.
    * Road details are very track dependent. On some tracks, in the custom FFB, just turn up the details_fx & it's there.
    * Kerb effect you can use if you need it.
    * There is no speed dependent rumble from the tires, but that is there in every car I ever drove & it really helps to get the sense of speed when driving fast(imho).
    * There is no engine vibration. In custom ffb, set it how you like.
    * Thighten has been tested and might make it in another variation next update.

You might not like all of these improvements.
But you can tweak them all on/off or make them weaker or stronger.
That is the thing: In default you cannot customize these things at all to make it all work the best for your wheel base and preferences.

Stay with default if you like to wait for better times or just use the custom ffb & switch to default when that is better than custom. I have no doubt the custom ffb is terminally ill & that it will have to die when that happens. Hopefully soon! (despite all the fun)

Oh, I can tell you the one just posted should feel less driving on stones than before, even more so if you adjust it to suit you.

    Cheers

Like i said , i appreciate what the community is doing and thankful people dont just sit and wait for something that may not come ! Im about to try this new one and will report back how it feels to me .

I like the fact engine noise will be there at start up but gone at speed ;)
    @Karsten Hvidberg
I dont get code and struggle with understanding what it means ! Can you explain what the setting is set to here ? Just one example from the file that i dont understand !
    # Scrub settings
    #

    # Overall scrub scale - used to scale both front and back
    (scrub_scale_master 30.0)

    # Scrub scale (0.0 - 2.0)
    # Set to 0.0 to disable
    (scrub_scale_front 1.2)
    (scrub_scale_rear 0.7)

    # Scrub lambda (inversely proportional to frequency of effect)
    # Higher values give lower freq. Best range 1.1 - 1.8
    (scrub_lambda_front 1.6)
    (scrub_lambda_rear 1.2)

So i guess i now understand this "scrub" you keep talking about , the vibration for tyre slip effect !
Yeah i don't like it , just feels rough and unnecessary, all i need is the wheel to get light when i'm under steering or locking up brakes and the normal feeling (even irl) when the rear end steps out (the wheel applying opposite lock) .
I don't mind (actually kinda like it) the extra kerb feeling from this latest custom FFB file ;) Is there a way to only have that added to standard Reiza FFB ?

I think you should download the just posted version "easy does it". It's simplified and makes certain things easier to change.
Then drive & post what feels good and bad.
Chances are we can all help you set the values to suit you, whatever you like

Feels good man! Getting closer to the FFB nirvana

There's another change that made it into this release to do with the kerbs that wasn't in the previous one. Very subtle change but it worth it IMO. The kerb effect is now based on a sawtooth profile (aprx. using a sine series) like the actual kerbs instead of just sharp ticks. This will give a ramp up of force followed by a sharp drop back. Not that you'll notice when going at any speed, but I like knowing it is there :)

Ok, if you just want scrub off, then change:

    (scrub_scale_master 30.0)
    to
    (scrub_scale_master 0.0)

Anything else, just ask here, it really is simple to fix.
Wish the game had more settings for it too though.

Thank you , that is nicer but there is still a "noise" on straights ! Is it possible to just have standard Reiza FFb with the kerbs feel from this "easy does it"? Also just tone down the kerbs a little , its good but just a little too aggressive .

    yes,
    for kerbs you have:
    (kerb_scale 0.5)
    change that number lower, maybe:
    (kerb_scale 0.3)

For noise down the straight, that is actually road details that are not only in the center of the wheel(as they are with default).
    You can lower them here:
    (details_fx 4.0)
change that lower, you might like it like this:
    (details_fx 2.0)

if you just want straight of default road, with all the center badness & no road details enhanced at all, instead change:
    (stock_rack_bias 0.0) to (stock_rack_bias 1.0)

    Cheers

Yeah, this latest file is not for me, went back to two files ago where I had a really well balanced FFB feel.

In this file, I turned Kerbs to 0.05 and they were still far too rough. Road noise was too high and road fx too low. It was very hard to find a balanced setting in-game/file.

Also, the weight transfer and wheel felt a bit too light "dead" unless under load, the bumps on the road interact better with previous versions for me too, again it might be road_fx.

    Hey Santos,
Which version exactly? Maybe there's some obvious difference.

    Santos,

I am curious, how does setting "stock_rack_lfb_bias" to 0.3 or 0.0 feel on your wheel?
