The download the Aston Martin Valkyrie is not working???
Any reason for that?

 

Not working with the current version, but apparently the person who did the mod will update it to work

 

I wondered why it and the Jag never got updated, were they less popular, or something about them made it difficult to update...

 

The Jag is updated meanwhile and working great.
So only the Walkyre missing...

 

I have a question about illegal moding, can someone help

 

What do you mean by illegal?

I'd love to know are these mods are scratch built or conversions from something else. I'd love to get involved scratch built. If anyone can say either way.

 

The mods from the pCARS groups are as advertised... Cars and tracks from the pCARS series... Mainly 2...

There are people working on scratch built FE and Indycars so it is possible to bring in models it's just a giant pain in the arse with all the work arounds to get a car in game atm...

I'd love to see your work in AMS2...

 

Downloading a couple of boot files and some light editing afterwards is not really what I can a pain in the backside personally

but for sure officially supported mods in future will be appreciated

 

I meant from the modders side...

It's annoying enough atm for the end user that I wouldn't want to build a mod myself and deal with the fallout of those who can't handle the editing... It's bad enough trying to get people to edit livery override xmls for extra liveries... lol

What seems like a nothing task to us tinkerers is a huge unexplored file to another...

Cheers Scar666 - it would be great to achieve, I guess I will stay tuned. I won't say it's easy to get a converted car across but seems relatively straight forward. I guess until Reiza do their bit and we'll see what transpires. I wanted to pull up a bit as I get distracted on new projects easily and AMS2 is my fave go to racing sim. Oh well back to rF2.

 

Yeah we'll definitely need at the very least the documentation from Reiza... Otherwise we are just using their tyres from another class and so forth...

Hopefully we see that sometime in the near future...

 

are all the mods currently broken? i tried them and they only have bumper cam and the VRC Audi crashes the game.

 

You need to wait for the bootfiles to be updated and download/activate them again.

 

Do you delete the old ones?

 

Ideally:
1 deactivate bootfiles before updating the game
2 update the game
3 wait for bootfiles, and once available, activate them.

If you updated the game without deactivating bootfiles first, then:
1 deactivate bootfiles
2 run steam file integrity check: it will download failed files
3 wait for bootfiles, and once available, activate them

NEVER EVER use bootfiles that don't match your game version.
