Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

Can beta testers have mods? Do they work even with beta versions?

 

Why not?
But i do leave my Beta plain vanilla and have every existing Mod in my release version!

We do not support mods in beta as beta is for testing the vanilla game.
The blog will not provide beta bootfiles (so you're on your own there) nor will robi and I update mods when beta breaks them (which it does a lot).
Finally, I stress this every time I provide bootfiles: only use those bootfiles that correspond to your game version.

 

Was just trying to download the tracks from the blog, but the trees file won't download. It stops at around 100mb and then starts again. Is it down currently?

 

I understand that. I was just wondering basically how the beta testing works.

 

Just downloaded now to test link and all was OK! 662 MB complete pc2 trees

Ok, tried again through a download manager and it worked. Odd that it wouldn't work from my browser. Installed the California Highway track. What a great addition! So much fun.
Seems strange seeing 3D trees in AMS2 that don't rotate like the billboard ones do in VR.

Here is hoping that more known modders bring stuff to AMS2, that Reiza cant/wont do. I support every mod, and i hope its gonna be more than just VRC who will do Mods, while i also hope that we see their entire portfolio in AMS2.

 

The project cars modding team is one of the few Madness Engine modders that has a decent website but there are actually quite a few PC2 mods out there if you dig through YouTube and Google Sheets.

The fact that all of them haven't been converted yet must mean it's not straight forward but since some obviously have been converted there is hope for more.

Personally I'd like to see that modded M3 GTR from PC1 in AMS2 someday. Do the sounds have to be from AMS2 or just Madness Engine in general?

Hopefully the inside view will have better textures etc....I find that the interior cockpit doesn't match the stunning outside look.

 

It just look fake to me. If you compare it to the interior cockpit of a LMP1/2/Dpi in AMS2 for example. I mean the texture of the upper dashboard doesn’t really look like Alcantara and the left/ right A pillar don‘t really look like carbon to me.

But again, no stress! If not possible all ok!
