Is it usual that the AI with mod cars is on pure kill? I just got the VRC bundle and the Low agression AI will run my ass over.

Does the order in which you add the driveline code to the driveline file matter in relation to the position of the cars in the car list file.

So if I put the VRC Camaro, and then the Audi into the car list in that order. Do I then have to add the driveline code in that same order?

It would be great if modding team could bring Chevrolet Omega DTM 1992, Audi V8 DTM 1992 and Ford Mustang GT for German Group's class.

I will buy it for sure when the handling is a little easier with Reiza's modding support. I haven't installed any mods yet but this one interests me. Can we expect a 3rd friend to accompany these 2 cars?

I'd agree it's not as drop and play as most modding support, but even as things stand right now, its just add JSGME to the root folder and 2 text files to update. It takes less than 5 mins.

And for some cool content, at a quite frankly amazingly cheap price, it's absolutely worth doing.

Once I understood what I was doing, it was a piece of cake. Reminds me of my MSTS days.

Plenty on Youtube. Just search something like "how to install mods for AMS2".

Think people like Overtake.gg have done them, among others.
Or if you buy one of the VRC mods (they are only £1.99 or pay more if you like) then you get a pdf in the download explaining everything you need to do.

The first time is a little complex making sure you get the folder hierachy correct, but after that its a breeze.

maybe VRC will make something some day, but thats all they made in that class for now.
they had Fords, Mazdas, Nissans etc in that class, so never say never. the gap between these 2 mods actually wasnt that big, so maybe there is some more stuff coming.

the problem is not "easy"/"not easy".
The problem is, that after every update or hotfix you'll have to wait until someone extracted the boot files to update your hack. Wrong bootfiles -> crash.
Sometimes there are changes in physics or other parameters.
If you don't get updated modded cars -> crash.
Best time for modded Assets: when development is finished, like with pCars1/2

This was with the AI at Low agression, but their all on maximum attack, kill at all costs to me for some reason. Very exciting, but also very annoying...

Also don't mind my grindy gearshifts, still learning how to heel toe...

I think they are just too fast for you, try lowering their strength, considering the speed difference they behaved themselves. If that was AC they would plough through you on every corner.

There is no real risk of wrong bootfiles. After a game update you just have to download the new one. It is sure that if you try to activate the same bootfiles, that is likely to pose problem! A new tool is available for modders, and bootfiles is really easy to do for us now, way easier than before.

Now that I'm also a dev, I know precisely whether to change anything and how to change it. So updating mods, if necessary, will be much easier and quick too

So no, the best thing that can happen for mods is that there really isn't a need for bootfiles anymore like there was on PCars1

If it doesn't have custom AI it's probably using a random AI set from the within the file base, possibly one without decent parameters...

I don't think I'm authorized to post the link, but it's a certain "nenkai" who made the "pcars tool"
It's not an official tool, that's why I take some precautions.
Basically it just allows us to create the bootfiles way quicker. I don't think it can have any interest for a standard user.
