Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

trying to install the porsche 992 Cup car, with the latest bootfiles available, but cars are not showing ingame, they are in the drivelines and vehicles files properly, i must be missing something here, but not sure what i am overlooking

 

yeah, i must be doing something wrong, none of the mods are showing up in my game, i add the driveline part from the readme file, and the vehiclelist entry to the respective files, then in JSGME i add the car mod first, then i install the bootfiles, but i dont see them in the game, i tried removing everything related to the mods and verified game files, and started from scratch, possibly i put the driveline entries in the wrong spot in the file, i think that might be the only thing that can go wrong

 

Roy check to see if you added vehicles to the list in Bootfiles vehicles folder not the Game vehicles Folder. Or Vise Versa.. I had this prob.

 

yeah, i added them to the list in the bootfiles folder, and after installing the bootfiles using JSGME they are also shown in the game vehicles folder, with that i mean i see subfolders for the car(s) and it shows the lines in the vehicles.lst file and in the drivelines.rg file in the game/vehicles folder

 

Removed because wrong

 

I uninstalled AMS2, and then manually removed the remaining files/folders in the install, reinstalled AMS2, and then the mods, all cars are working properly now. I think there were still some leftover files from mods i installed a long time ago.

It's called Project CARS Modding. Mostly PC2 & 3 information but AMS2 is starting to get more popular.

Don't miss out, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. For all the talk about mods in AMS2 not being able to deliver unique character, this was beyond my expectations. I would put it above the current state of some Reiza cars definitely.

 

They did a great job on this car. I've been enjoying it around both Imola and Laguna Seca. I wasn't expecting it to be on RD, I think that's a first for an AMS2 mod. I hope this is the first of many!

 

Is the model scratch made? I don't care either way but point being that will it stay at the RD.

 

The models do look ever so slightly ‘off’ to be fair, but it’s not a deal breaker.
It probably suggests scratch-made, then a rip.

 

Well, quite possibly slightly based on the cancelled F-USA, considering at least 1 guy from the project cars modding team is member of the Reiza staff now, but i can understand they will never confirm or deny it to avoid issues
