Has anyone got the download link from Thunderflash? He says it will be flagged by antivirus but is safe. To me it sounds like a car salesman saying trust me it's a good deal, lol

Yes but some of them are PC2 mods, so not necessarily PC2 content.

I use mods in multiplayer all the time, never a problem.. all drivers must of course have the mod installed when they join, or the game will freeze upon race start.

No, not using mods online. I have the issue of game crashing when entering multiplayer from main menu. If I disable boot files all works ok online.

Have you changed any of the class assignments of the original cars in the *.crd files?

No. Just activated the mods and boot files. But even with just boot files enables without cars/tracks, game crashes when entering multiplayer menu.

Remove mods, do a integrity check of ams2 installl files, re download mods, install. Make sure to follow all readme to the letter.

Maybe one mod only, try removing one by one. And as said do an integrity check. Ps: bootfiles are last version of course...

Having only dabbled with MP for the very first time earlier this afternoon, I had no idea what/if functionality would be like online due to the 50+ activated items I have in JSGME's mod list. Suffice to say I was really delighted when my lobby list populated and I spotted servers proudly advertising 2023 INDYCAR MOD in allcaps. Aside from a touch of spatial stutter from high-latency players, everything ran great. I just need to get used to the extra time taken for full-length qualifying sessions and the downtime between tracks. Do people ever see servers running some of the other mod tracks or vehicles? I'd love to mess around with some rally-style stages on Azure Coast, or the long haul A-to-B race on California Highway (iirc, 20mi+ one-way) could be interesting with the mod vehicles from Trackday & Street Cars B or Alpine coupe categories.

Hmm, have you tried re-downloading a fresh copy of the bootfiles yet? Either that, or like Rocky is suggesting, some of the vanilla content files got corrupted (i.e. edited). I saw one user who's bootfiles download got corrupted in flight (bad NIC/network shenanigans, etc), and just downloading a fresh copy of the same archive and unarchiving/activating it in JSGME was enough to fix it for him.
If you don't get lucky with that easy fix, it might be appropriate to just start deleting any AMS2 files you've touched and then run a Steam validation of AMS2 (game properties>Local files) and that will pull fresh working copies of any suspect file(s) you've cleaned out.
