Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

I think you just need to remove all the mods from the enabled folder and run the AMS2CM.exe again.

 

By what I read and understand, which isn't much, AMS2CM uninstalls all mods and then re-installs them again including any new ones. I do not use AMS2CM. I just use JSGME.exe to Activate (install) or De-Activate (uninstall) mods.

 

Would it be best to take out all mods or just the bootfiles though?

How are the sounds in the mods? The original AMS2 from reiza lack of detail and sound a bit of flat, and I read in the past that there is no way of using custom sounds for mods so the mods just use the same sounds as other cars. Is this true?

So now that modding is getting more attention on AMS2, can the vanilla cars be edited in the sense of their power and grip? I still think that some classes are unbalanced even when compared to their real life counterparts, examples being the F-Vintage V12's and the McLaren MP4/1C, those 2 are way too OP, at least in the AI hands.
Custom AI files help a little, but it's not the ideal solution because they then go much slower on the corners,but get past the faster but less powerful cars on the straights, thus creating the annoying pack and side by side racing.

I remember altering the power and grip figures of the different cars in GP4, can something similar be possible in AMS2?

 

as of officially not moddable, i think AMS2 has no check when using that online.
So your suggestion to hack the vanilla cars smells a bit like asking for cheats

 

I have 0 interest in online, so the though of using that to cheat didnt even cross my mind. I do am a fan of authenticity and seeing the MP4/1 going faster than the turbos at Kyalami does annoy me a bit .

 

The Pandora's Box that is editing vanilla cars to cheat aside, it would be interesting to see what an oval spec CART car could do at '71 Spa or "Unnamed Low Downforce French Circuit."

Maybe that would be better suited to a separate mod, but I can't help but think of the ridiculous top-speed potential. I already had the Formula Classic Gen 1's doing 250+ mph, so the potential of a Superspeedway spec CART car could be well above that.

 

Hope we could choose what configuration we want

 

same for me: in classic Gen2 mod 1988, Minardi is fast as mclaren in straight...
i want to feel difference driving a lotus or a zakspeed
restrictor system like is AC would be a solution
