Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

At the pace he is porting the cars we could have half of PC2 cars by the end of the year. The guy is pretty quick and they are pretty well done.

Also it's seems Rouen Les Essart is coming thanks to the guys at Project Cars Modding Team. An excellent choice for AMS2, just hope cars can get out of the pits, can't really use Fuji with damage on because of that issue

 

Well he is taking a pause so let’s see what he will do when V1.5 arrives. Maybe he will mod things quicker

 

imho 1.5 is already here, but only for some cars.
In this case modders have already the option to analyse the finished 1.5 cars to look what they can do. e.g. compare data of 1.4 cars with same updated 1.5 cars.
They don't have to wait another month, but analysing needs time and effort.

 

its in the gt1 class. maybe the files in PC2 are named similar. i mean in reality the GT-One was also very

 

Hi Guys. I just installed the Mazda_787b Mod from Thunderflash. When I go in to select a livery, there is a completely white rectangle as one of the previews. When I race the Group C's, there are some all white cars in the field. Is there a way to delete that particular livery (or non livery)? I have uninstalled and re-installed with the same result. I have also asked about this on his Discord Server, but no replies. Anyone else tried this Mod? Anyone with similar issues? Thanks.

 

You should join his Discord for questions regarding his mods, I think he actually removed the 787, might be some controversy behind it.

 

For me it only shows the car with a weird shine on the car showcase, but in race all seems normal.

 

How many Liveries do you have for the Mazda?

 

He says he has permission to convert it to AMS2. It is still in his Downloads Folder.

 

If I'm not mistaken 2 of the traditional green and orange and 2 of the white and blue.

 

I have those plus a White Rectangle. If I select it, the car's title is 'Custom Livery'. This is what shows in a race as a completely white car. Very strange. Did you use AMS2CM or JSGME to install?

 

Ah now I get you, I have this custom livery car too, but it hasnt show up in a race, this is probably a place holder if you want to add your own skin to it, I got some retro F1 skin pack that has this too, and I always forget to remove it before racing and a blank car will show up, its kind of a pain in the ass.

 

I installed with AMS2CM, so, went into the game and got the solution for this I think, you need to go to:
steam library\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\Vehicles\mazda_787b and open the file mazda_787b.rcf with something like notepad++
Then you want to erase the 99 livery, find: <NAMES INPUT ="LIVERY">
and erase the line <NAME LIVERY="99" NAME="Mazda 99" />, its the last line in this entry, just save and close it, should be enough.

the Mazda and the Jag are a bit bugged.
As TurboGranny mentioned, Fred forgot to delete the line in the RCF file.
You'l have to edit both rcfs, btw.
The Jaguar XJR9 has another bug. There he forgot to add the preview file for one livery.
I'll add it as bugfix in my discord to be added with AMS2CM as long he doesn't update his release.

Solution worked. No more white rectangle or car.

And what a great track it is. Didn't think much of it when I saw it was coming, but it can be a challenge, especially in the Group C's. Thanks guys.

 

Such a cool circuit, perfect for all the vintage cars. Do the cars fly at the pit garage exit like in Fuji? Can't try it till tomorrow.
