Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

what tools i need if i wanna start to modding into Automobilista 2? and what software? any video tutorials online?

 

Well you need to clone a car first. For that, there is an old, slightly outdated PC2 video on YouTube. Then you need to have your car exported to the program zmodeler 3 and edit it there with all it's textures so it got the shaders for AMS2 it needs. Afterwards, you export your car to many mtx and meb files and you edit every mtx file with notepad. Then already it's possible that the car turns up in AMS2 but then there is much much more to do with hex programs etc. I would advise you to always have help from someone who knows about this stuff. For me the guys from the Immersion Modding Team have been a really great help so far. When something doesn't work for me they have a look and show me the solution. There is much more to the process than I just described, it gets confusing after some time when you are new to it, which I still am.

In the end the one thing you definitely need to have is patience. Like I said, I'm almost 2 weeks at the step where the car needs to show up.

I had to take a break from automobilista 2 cause of my arm, but I never DL thunderflashes cars....especially the poanoz. Now I see he is closing shop...sorry to hear....and went to DL the mod at his site. It seems you have to join media fire to get it.

Does anyone know of an alt site or have the mod files zipped they could share with me?
Arm is almost all better, but now I have to go from win 7 to 10 and I don't want to miss his mods.

Please help?

 

Just tried it... You have to download each file separately. You will have to join Mediafire if you want to download multiple files at the same time. Hope that helps

Do we just drag into the mods enabled folder the trees and tracks and use content manager like other mods ? I’ve not done it using content manager before.

 

except for a few older skin packs out there, probably 99% of modded content out there is AMS2CM compliant … just throw everything you want in the disabled folder, run AMS2CM, and enjoy.

As for the ones that don’t, you can repackage those yourself into the correct root folder structure to get them working.

This looks amazing, im hoping Reiza allow modders to match the pitcrew liveries with the driver and car liveries you're making..this would really take immersion to the next level...

 

pitcrew members but also add a bit of life in the garage and pit wall. it's so lifeless in that area. Would be nice to see the marshalls waving the yellow-blue-red flag for f1 classics for example
