I'm guessing it's when he will release the Group B mod. He announced it before retiring and in his retirement post he said he would still upload those cars

This does not mean he is returning, he had already announced the Group B pack before he decided to retire. Just fulfilling past promises

 

He announced today on his site that he is indeed coming back. Great news!!

Have you tried his "gift" mod yet? (The GT3 Unleashed). My PC is flagging it as a virus. What is included in that mod besides a virus?

All street cars have been updated to game version 1.5.3.
Update highlights:
- Launch control system implemented (and disabled in cars which don't have it)
- 1.5.3 AI code updated
- Cars split into two classes: Street Cars B and Street Cars C
- Traction control tweaked

 

Thanks for the heads up. All drivers and owners have been briefed on the regulatory changes regarding new Street classifications.

I also removed my previous Carrera Cup file, so it could no longer (possibly) interfere with the complete 992 Carrera Cup mod provided by the Modding Team.

 

Only the GVSE mods have been updated. The Carrera Cup, Robi's. Does he update his mods too?

 

Correct, yesterday’s updates rearranged the previous, semi-overlapping Street B & Trackday B classes into two distinct classes, now called Street B and Street C.

As for the Carrera Cup, the Modding Team’s download link, for some time, goes directly to RaceDepartment, and that mod includes its own AI files. Unless I missed something, I’m not sure why my own Mobil 1 Supercup AI would be of any use, so I removed it from the package.

 

It is an minor update to be on par with the new updated build of AMS2.

 

Actually, simracers who still believe in Santa are rewarded with updated files that combine all of Thunderflash's distinct GT3 skins (e.g., Spa24, Blancpain, etc.) into a single, unified category. And some Christmas-y headlights to celebrate the season.

Simracers who do not still believe in Santa get a virus.

 

Are these 'Christmas-y' headlights here to stay, or will they go back to normal headlights at some point? Any idea?

 

Its a seperate mod which you can choose to install or not

 

Gosh, I sure hope so. Call me Scrooge, but at some point (say, early 2024), I would prefer a unified GT3 mod without the XMas bling.

 

Yeah, I realise that. The mod is great, but the lights, not so much. When all the classes were separate mods, the headlights were normal. Those separate ones are no longer available on his downloads page, so was hoping the headlights would just go back to normal white, sometime soon.

 

I thought the gt3 unleashed mod from the gift folder caused the christmas lights, so just dont install that and it's back to normal i assume, havent tried it myself but that's my understanding
