Definitely the star of the show to me:

Still sad I have not been able to comfortably play the game since the update due to my pedal calibration not saving (in case anybody wants to help: Settings not saving)

Hope your calibration woes get fixed, my only guess is the relevant file it gets saved to is "read-only" for some reason?

What^ track was this? (I always wanna know. Love the Ligier to bits...)

Edit; it was Taruma wasn't it? Excellent combo.

Nurbugring 2025 is a stunning track, especially at night, such a great job from everyone that worked on it.

The standout car was the GTE the others are excellently modelled but not very exciting to me, but that's just personal taste.

I have noticed that even on older cars the FFB seems weaker, I had to increase gain by 5 to get it close to pre update. However some of the forces still feel a bit differently balanced. Might actually be better once I get used to it but feels strange at the moment.

Agree, tried both Nurburgring at night today, and the atmosphere on 2025 is incredible, very well done, feels like a 24h race weekend. I loved being surprised by the muffled electronic music playing on the replay, the party atmosphere….well done! I did the same afterwards on 2020 version at night and it felt much more like a track day, much more somber at night and emptier, it’s definitely very noticeable the difference. For the track itself I felt they are pretty similar, maybe the 2025 a bit less bumpier in some segments and slightly more sanitized than 2020…safer (like irl). But absolutely looks like the real deal, very well crafted as always from Reiza. But I really liked to get around in the Aston GTE and also in the Valkyrie! Well done to all team!

Well... I must say the new Alpine A110 GT4 is a revelation!

I've never been a GT4 guy before but this car - the handling, the road feel - is just wonderful. Its superbitude is of infinite magnitude. (Sorry just coming down off one of those rare and all too precious sim-racing highs where everything just feels... right.)

Kudos to Reiza, because since 2020 the bar for content quality has been raised significantly.
Both the tracks and the new cars are crafted with great care and are of excellent quality. That said, in my personal opinion, there are still some areas that need improvement—particularly in how the cars feel, especially the GT3s.

I've spent quite a bit of time driving this class both before and after the infamous 1.6 patch. I have to say, with the October 2024 1.6 version, Reiza really nailed the goal of making the cars feel less slippery and giving them more grip. However, with the most recent updates, it feels like we’ve taken a step backwards. The sliding sensation is more pronounced again, and the front end of the car feels very light. You don’t really feel the weight of the vehicle—it’s almost like it’s all concentrated in the center. To be honest, I personally preferred the earlier version.

Another area that has worsened is the AI. Every race on any track feels like a NASCAR event—tiny gaps between cars, and wild overtaking and counter-overtaking moves that just ruin the flow of the race. I’ve also noticed persistent stability issues with some GT3 cars: when they go off the racing line and rejoin, they often trigger a disastrous pendulum effect. I ran some races at Sebring, Road Atlanta, and Daytona, and every time I ended up in a pileup of wrecked cars. It’s a real shame to have such a wide range of unique content and not be able to enjoy it properly.

If I’m being honest, apart from the lower-tier categories, it’s becoming a bit hard to launch the game—especially with so much competition on the market. AMS2 remains a fun title, but there are still quite a few things that need to be sorted out.

It is Taruma, right, one of those great gems in the game imo, very fun circuit. Thanks for trying to help with the calibration issues, sadly I already check that the files are not only-read. Also I did delete all files and did the config from 0 again. Everything saves, only the pedal calibration does not... Maybe a bug appearing when wheel and pedals are connected independently? (Moza R9, T3PA pedals)

It is my favorite car of the pack, it feel so right, I wish other GTs could feel as planted.

I missed that post, thanks. It's kinda unfortunate but it is what it is I guess.

I drove many laps, different cars, but I still don't know what I should hear.
Are these effects at every car or just some special, under which condition should be there a sound effect?

    • Added suspension & chassis sound effect

With 'General car volume' in audio options set to 100 and other audio options set low so i can try and hear the suspension & chassis sound effect, transmission or belt wine is to loud to here most of the new effects.
I believe it needs to be tuned a little more

I just drove the Audi R8 GT3 Gen 2 at Hockenheim and can hear it pretty clearly with headphones on curbs especially with no sound adjustments whatsoever.

I guess the strange grip loss that I also encountered.
    1.6 - Issues with grip
A setup reset before the race seems to help and according to CrimsonEminence it is recommended to save the setup after reset so it sticks. Reiza is already investigating the issue.

There are still many tracks that have a limit of 26 or 28 cars.
Is there a plan to increase the maximum number on these tracks anytime soon ?

AMS2 V1.6.6.2 is now live - this is another complementary update to the latest release with a few more fixes improvements primarily to the recently released content.

With this update we have temporarily disabled the reset button in MP sessions at least for the time being as it was a source of problems in a MP environment - longer term the goal is to both improve the functionality so reset cannot be abused or cause problems with cars spawning on the way of incoming traffic, and make it optional for hosts to disable it altogether if that´s how they prefer to run their session.
This update also wraps the free trial period for the contents of the new DLCs, which are now restricted to those who own them.

    V1.6.6.2 CHANGELOG
