    I tested it now and i still do not think it works, i tried to bump the AI car in the lead and i only ended up losing speed and the car ahead gained none.

    First of all: Thank you very much for this great game and all the passion you put into it. AMS2 is my absolute favorite simulation, and I'm delighted that development on the game is continuing so actively. This is not the norm, and I appreciate it accordingly.

    In general, there is relatively little that I find lacking or bothersome. The only area where I have several suggestions for improvement is the HUD. Not least because I was not really convinced by the new beta HUD. Here are my suggestions:

    - The following information is currently missing from the HUD: ABS, TC, and the current tires on the vehicle (soft/hard/wet). Especially if you have adjusted the seat so that you cannot see the virtual cockpit in the vehicle itself you don't know at a glance how the traction control or ABS is set. If you're driving on servers where the setup is enforced, the tire selection is automatic. Accordingly, I don't know for sure which tires are on the car at the start. This is particularly relevant when it's raining lightly, for example (I know you can switch to the telemetry view for the tires, but I find that a bit too confusing during the race). In general, I would recommend taking a look at the game ACC, which has implemented all these information in a relatively compact way.
    - The new weather widget is nice, but feels much too big. Most people probably only need information about the forecast for the next few minutes or hours. Perhaps a simple and an advanced view could be offered.
    - This also applies to the new damage hud. Here, I would also like to see more gradations in terms of size and information content.

    Dear Reiza Team, I think there are many people out there which face this problem but do not use the chance to document this here in the forum. I was also searching now for hours to get the problem fixed. It occours with real 5.1 Systems and in my chase (and for many other users) it makes terrible Audio Chrackles in the Center Speaker. I have changed all recommended Audio Options as you have already postet even changed the USB-Port and new Drivers but it can't be solved - the only option is to change the Systems to "Stereo" as Alistair McKinley already mentioned - but thats not a solution! I can definitely tell you that I didn't changed anything on my System and there was not Problem at all until the last Update. So I'm not satisfied, but I have to get back to the early Version and this is not the way it should be... Thanks for your investigations for all the AMS2 lovers - enthousiast out there - we love your SIM!!!

    Considerations about the new HUD
    1 - Overall it's okay, but for the final version it would be important to increase the font size displaying the number of laps and improve the background transparency.

    2 - The fastest laps information also need improve background transparency and could display the fastest lap of the race in purple, as is the international standard for Formula 1 and other racing broadcasts.

    I tried the new one for the first time today and I would like to see the overall font size of the leaderboard increased. My lap counter and position is in the very upper lest corner of my screen and it's a little hard to see at first glance because it's small.

    The weather thing I could do without since I never race in the rain anyway so I don't need a forecast. I assume you can delete it.

    I also assume that the functions of this leaderboard have been ported over to the old one and that's why it displays multiple readouts?

    Overall I still like the old HUD much better than this new one.

    Hehe, you should see the new lap counter on Steam Deck, it's less than 1mm high :)

    Yeah I briefly tried the beta HUD too. For now I prefer the current one, I'm sure they'll adjust the new one before release. Hopefully addressing the font size.

    My main new hud issues especially for VR what it needs:
    - Adjustment to size of each element
    - Opacity sliders
    - Relative leaderboard needs to be 3 ahead and 3 behind, not the 2 and 2 as it is currently.

    Does anyone else find their lap times are faster without the HUD? It's a distraction for me that causes mistakes..

    I only find this element of the hud distracting and turned it off.

    Reiza posted on x yesterday, 1.6.9.2 drops today with more fixes & improvements. Free trial for the new content will end but there will be an updated demo out later this week which features 7 tracks and 7 classes

    Automobilista 2 is now updated to V1.6.9.2, featuring a collection of further fixes & improvements to complement the latest update.

    As of this update, the Racin´ USA Bonus Pack, the Nürburgring Touristenfahrten & Supercars Pt2 DLC content is restricted to owners of these DLCs or the packs / bundles that include them.

    UPDATE NOTES

    IMPORTANT!: Users who acquired the Racin´ USA DLCs through 3-Part items rather than the full expansion pack should retrieve a Steam key for full Expansion Pack in order to retain the recently added Stock USA bonus content; please click here for a step-by-step instructions in how to do that. If you already own the full Racin´ USA Expansion Pack, the 2020-2022 Season Pass, the Premium Expansion Packs DLCs, or any of the Bundles that include these you are all set to retain the Bonus content - nothing needs to be done.

    If you do own all 3 parts but are having any trouble with these instructions or are just unsure as to how to proceed with any of the steps described below, you are also welcome reach out @Marius H or @Dave Stephenson here for support and we´ll be happy to get things sorted out for you :)


    To users who might have observed a performance drop since the latest V1.6.9 release: we understand this could have been caused by the update adding the option to combine Supersampling AA with TAA, without that setting being properly reset in an existing user profile; TAA users who noticed a significant drop in performance (30%+) with no further changes to system or software since the last update are encouraged to check that Supersampling is indeed set to 'OFF' in the performance options screen if they haven´t done it already.

    We have made some notable additional improvements to TAA since V1.6.9.1, including better application to vehicles, reduced shadow flickering, improved fence resolution and stability as well as reduced ghosting on gratings.

    Further valuable improvements also to AI performance & overall racecraft on ovals, not just to the new Stock USAs but also all F-USAs and other tintops with oval variants also receiving a pass; worth reminder that as of this build, the only other classes that have designated short oval & speedway physics as well as AI adjusted for those tracks are Opala Stock 1986, Omega Stock 1999, Stock Car 2019, Stock Car 2020-2022 & Super V8; while take any class to race them on ovals, the experience will not be to the level of those listed above as of v1.6.9.2.

    Still on the AI front, we have addressed an issue with AI blue flag behavior in multiclass racing where AI from slower classes would tend to slow down too much on some tracks to let faster classes by, actually making them harder to navigate on some cases and turning them into easy prey for the player when racing in the slower classes; for now this fix addresses the issue in more conventional multiclass combos, more "creative" class combos will be hampered by it but that will also be addressed on the longer run.

    Finally, we have improved AI logic out of their pit garages all the way through the pit lane, addressing various issues of AI hitting objects, losing control or getting stuck in some of the trickier pit areas.

    • AI cars lapping slower traffic now conform to dynamic corridors in tracks with greater dynamic ranges
    • Adjusted AI throttle application to be smoother when leaving garage
    • Fixed AI hitting fences ahead of their garage boxes when leaving the garage in tracks with alternate garages
    • Spielberg Historic: Tweak the garage orientation to help some cars navigate the pit lane extension

    I see there are updates regarding Livery Overrides for the Stock USA G1 - 3 but custom driver helmets and suits still do not work unfortunately.

    Hi Reiza, thank you for constantly adding content and taking all users into consideration, as well as for the long free periods given for newly released content to all players. I feel genuinely satisfied supporting a company with such friendly practices. I’ve just successfully redeemed my key, and the game is updating at the moment :)

    After some short testing, it seems that GT4s are broken. Unistalled my skin pack, but still at the beginnning of any racy with the gt4s,the game crashes.

    Newest update 1.6.9.2 Crackling Sound still exist, also no fix for broken (since 1.6.9) „sharpening strength“ in vr configfile manually adjust.
