A few of my "bugs" and observations that prevents me from fully enjoying the game. 1) Changing tyres at pitstop does not work. I see the time spent, hear the air guns turning the bolts but after leaving the pit, still run my old tyres. 2) Order of pitstop strategies keeps changing. This is especially a problem when using pre-recorded macros to switch between different strategies. Can't use Voicebot to record macros to select the correct one. If only the game would use them in alphabetical order all the time and keep the 'Default' created at either the top or the bottom, or indeed in the order. 3) wear of brake disc is ridiculous. 1% or 2% per lap. This is on any car any track with Mechanical Failures set to 'Yes' in the Gameplay Options 4) can't save mid race. I like to do multiclass endurance races of say 3hrs but not being able to save is a pain. 5) too few cars in too many classes. IMO, less classes, more cars and more liveries would do better and might be better to create decent handling. I mean, it's nice to have a Brabham BT46B, but I can't use it in a WEC endurance kind of multi-class race setup. My limitation, I know, still..... 6) the menu structure is not fluent. Need to move across the screen too much between [OK] [Back]. 7) the settings for the dampers e.g <slow bump> are only accessible after moving the mouse over the mid-section e.g. <steering lock> 8) when going into the MFD for changing a setting, one has to go through the full 'Go Back' sequence, otherwise the next time when entering the MFD, one might be on the entry where you left the MFD using the 'Idle timeout' 9) It would be nice to be able to adjust the time the Race Director messages are being displayed. Having in your face for 10 seconds that your lap time is invalidated is frustrating at least. 10) the Race Director is invalidating the next lap time for any error in Sector3. This is ridiculous if the last corner is e.g. a chicane (e.g. Bus Stop Chicane in Spa). There is no time gained after this in respect for the next lap. Assetto Corsa Competizione is doing a much better job in that respect. Despite the game being good enough, the issue's at 1, 2 and 4 (and the overall twitchy-ness of the cars (snap oversteer at "random' moments), this prevents me from playing the game to its full extent. I keep going back to ACC. Despite very good AI and FFB and graphics. I would have loved to have you guys picking up pCars2 and use all your effort to bring those cars and tracks and gameplay to this current level. It feels more comfortable or recognizable for me as an European based customer. Cheers.
Welcome to the forum, Lord Frommel! Since you posted in the Help & Support forum, are you seeking advice from us on workarounds for these issues? You haven't specified your input device, but if you are using a mouse then Right Mouse Button will almost always exit out of the screen that you are on. This means that you can mostly operate the cursor on the right side of the screen and use LMB/RMB depending if you want to move in or move out of the menus. No need to move the mouse over to the left side to exit.
Hi Roar, Thanks for your reply. This LMB/RMB does do the trick indeed. Good to know. There was a conversation on FB going where I put my observations as listed above. Renato came back to me asking to post it at the Reiza Forum (here?), so I did. Don't know if it should be posted somewhere else with a bit more structured info. I do admit it is rather brief without duplication instructions. Cheers
At least #1,3,7 seem to be bugs and should be reported in the official bug report thread: Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post) Don't worry about posting a duplicate bug – it's better to have duplicates of bugs reported than not reporting them in the official thread. Try to be as specific as possible when posting there. So even though a bug may affect all cars and tracks, give one specific example of car&track and other context necessary so that Reiza has a greater chance of reproducing the bug. The rest of your points seem to be feature requests or observations, and should fit well to post here: The Feature Request Thread… #4 can't save mid race: Reiza mentioned during the Early Access period last year that they were looking into adding this as a feature. No word about any progress since then, but they are planning to release Custom Championships in May/June, and I hope that saving during long races will turn out to be a part of the Custom Championships functionality, or at the very least added as a feature in a later update. #5 too few cars in too many classes: Reiza just wrote about this point in their April Development Update. (see the chapter "Vehicle classes")
