Is it possible to get a blank TV screen with VR in order to save GPU power? (as with R3E for example where no TV image is displayed) Regards, gp20.
You can turn off the mirror with the command -vrnomirror in Steam launch options. However, with no mirror, the mouse no longer works and i've found the Auto Gaze control in VR options very flaky and cumbersome. If you do want to try it, then make sure you launch the game and enable Auto Gaze control first, then add the launch option and re-load the game.
The machine isn't re rendering the image it's just a copy of what's already been rendered so doesn't take much demand from your pc. However, if you want remove it, turn the monitor off
