The latest update (1.6.9.81) has many merits, but it lost an important element along the way: the blip!
When downshifting, the blip used to be there—audible, contributing to the car's "character" and the sense of immersion. But now, it’s been so heavily muted on so many cars that it’s as if it’s gone entirely!
I haven't tested every single car (and how could I? There are too many!), but so far, I’ve only found the full, authentic blip on the 1969 and 1974 F1 cars... That’s not much, and it’s a real shame.
Why remove such an important and enjoyable feature? I love hearing the car roar under the strain of heavy braking; that "roar-roar" sound was essential to the immersion. I realize that even more now that it’s gone...
    Why this detrimental change?
To copy PMR, which claims to have the blip but never actually lets you hear it?
I don't understand, and I’m begging you: bring back the blip!!

Could you post a video of what you mean? I'm confused as I don't think anything has changed in that regard..

Sorry I'm confused. Do the 1969 and 1974 F1 car have automatic gearboxes with auto blip?
