    Version: V1.6.8.6.3085.AVX
Track & Layout Used: Silverstone 2001 (it does not really matter which track)
Car Used: Dalara SP1 (I do not think it matters)
Applicable Settings: graphics settings maxed out @ 4K, MSAA High, on the system listed in my signature. FPS capped at 59 fps with external limiter
Report: Huge performance loss in FPS when car go off-track generating smoke/dirt/particles

At the end of this video of an instant replay at 0.25x speed, notice that as soon as the car leaves the track, going into grass then gravel, the FPS (displayed in the top left) absolutely tanks from stable 59 fps (the fps limit I set in RTSS for my 60Hz GSync monitor) to way lower, as the RTX 4080S is pegged to 99% usage and 320W (displayed on first line in top left corner), which is its maximum I have ever seen.
The video ends in the grass/gravel and I leave it as is for a few seconds to show that the GPU keep being pegged at maximum wattage.
Although, I showcase this issue in a replay, I noticed that during normal races, AI cars going off-track generating dirt and particles also tank briefly the fps as GPU usage increases abnormally.

Report: After finishing a race the Shared Memory Value mErsDeploymentMode can be stuck in 3 or 4, so if you get into a new session it's not the correct 0 for the GT3G2s for not having ERS. Restarting of the game fixes it. I couldn't nail it down when it happens exactly, maybe it has something to do if you finished a multiclass race with cars that feature ERS like LMDh.

Report: Ever since Sebring was released the performance on the track is BROKEN. I tried v-sync off and in these 4 corners my fps goes from 200-250 fps, down to 150 or lower and horrible stutters. Every single lap every single time. And in the group i am in everyone is having these issues even on a RTX 5090, so something must be horribly wrong with this track.

Thanks for your report, it was very useful to fix the CTD, which is now fixed since the hotfix from yesterday.

As to why we disabled the track's tab, the explanation is here: Automobilista 2 V1.6.8.5 RELEASED; Now Updated to V1.6.8.6

    Report:
When "Autoload Last Setup Used" is set to "Off", in the pre-race screen there is an inconsistency between the default fuel value displayed in the top bar vs the default fuel value displayed in the setup panel (when the setup has not been modified)

    @gian

    How to reprod:

    - start the game, making sure "Autoload Last Setup Used" is set to "Off"
    - start a single event
    - click the "Edit Setup" button
    - notice the discrepancy between the the fuel value in the top bar vs the value in the default setup. For example in the screenshot below I used the the Dallara LMP1 whose default fuel value in the top bar is 90L and the default in the setup panel is 25L. These 2 fuel values are car specific. For example for the Mini JCW it is 32L (top bar) and 12L (setup panel).
=> If you start the race, it is the fuel value in the top bar that is used (90L in that example).
It can be confusing and both fuel values should be the same. It actually does when "Autoload Last Setup Used" is set to "On".
It seems like something that was overlooked when "Autoload Last Setup Used" setting has been added.

If while on the screen in the screenshot below you do not modify anything and hit the back button leaving the fuel value to 25L, the fuel value in the top bar does not change (because the setup is not modified). If you modify any value (fuel or not), the fuel value in the top bar is updated to the same value than the setup panel.

yes thanks, this had been noticed internally too and theres a task for fixing it, but its not related to adding the autoload on/off setting, because thats actually how it always behaved in a fresh empty setups folder. One fuel value is being the one an ai would pick, the other fuel value is whats considered the player default.

    Report:
I can't set up a multi-class race. If you try, you get a full grid of GT3 Gen 2, with only the player in an LMDh car. I've reset, run other races, tried Max Available, tried Custom, tried Manual Grid and edited for 23 GT3 and 24 LMDh, tried 12 GT3 and 12 LMDh, no matter what I try, it's me in the SC63 and everyone else in a GT3 car. I can setup a multiclass race with anything else, including a 2005 race at Le Mans with multiple classes, but the game will not allow an LMDh and GT3 race at modern Le Mans.

Honestly, the whole Spanish translation is pretty messed up. I suggest taking a look into all the Spanish text. Otherwise I'll keep spamming many messages like this :p

Are you using custom livery/custom AI files?

Report: Some assets' LoD on the tracks are in low resolution. Rumble strips on every track look blurry in VR. There are also some assets in my screenshots that are low resolution even at a close distance. I

Settings: I also tried to use a negative -2.0000 lod bias via Nvidia profile inspector, but it didn't help in this case. Changing the LOD fade setting didn't change anything. I also use heavy supersampling 1.5x in the Oculus Tray Tool.

For example, the screenshots below are interesting because the Pirelli billboard is quite far, but i'm able to read it clearly in the VR headset, but the Extreme sim racing billboard is blurry even thou it's closer to the car. Also, rumble strips are blurry.
    20251108154530_1.jpg 20251108154538_1.jpg

The arrow on the road should've already been the highest quality in this distance but it's blurry.
    Screenshot 2025-11-08 153426.jpg

The Fanatec billboard is blurry but it should be clear in this close range.
    Screenshot 2025-11-08 153546.jpg

Do you think it makes sense to have a different LoD setting for the VR users? People who have enough GPU power can crank it up.

Car Used: Kart's and other cars where the player model should be visible from a distance
Applicable Settings: Car details on "high"
Report: Some karts are completely empty at a not so far distance with car details set on High. This is also the case for some cars with big rear windows; you can literally see the person disappearing inside the car when driving behind a certain car from a certain distance.
Steps to reproduce: Drive a couple of hunderd of meters away from a kart and see what happens.
Possible solution: IMO the draw distance of persons inside vehicles should be extended and together with this the player model should be simplified/lower poly etc. from a far distance(otherwise it costs to much fps..), but it should never completely disappear.

Sorry for quoting my own post but I wanted to add a video showcase how it is worst with TAA compared to MSSA because of the temporal instability. It's constantly flickering whether there's movement or not. Watch the following video in full screen:

Report: Moza HGP shifter not recognized when connected directly to the base via RJ45 cable.
    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Connect the Moza HGP shifter to a moza base base using the RJ45 cable.

    2. Launch Automobilista 2.

    3. Notice that the shifter is not detected in calibration menu

    4. If the shifter is instead connected via USB as a separate peripheral, it is correctly recognized.
    Additional Notes:
This issue seems specific to Automobilista 2 — other sim racing titles recognize the shifter correctly when connected via RJ45.
It would be very convenient if AMS2 could detect the shifter through the base connection as well, to avoid having to plug and unplug the USB cable every time.

    Thank you

Report: Setup folders per track are now gone.

I noticed per track setup folders are now gone when trying to save setups for cars. The default name for the setup just says "Setup" and the location is blank. All the car setups are just thrown into a massive root folder. Is that a new design decision concerning saving and organizing setups or did something break as a result of the most recent update?

Yellow flags / local yellow get stuck and won't clear which causes the AI to lap a lot slower
    Steps to reproduce:

It's hard to reproduce as you need an AI to get stuck on track that brings out a yellow flag. I had 1 AI car get stuck upside down at Mosport Moss corner, which brought out a local yellow (indicated by the track map). After this all AI cars started lapping 5-10 seconds slower than usual and the yellow didn't clear even after the stuck car retired and was no longer on track. Though it feels like the whole flag system was perhaps broken as my blue flag was not taken away even when I was 15+ seconds away from any faster traffic.

Report: Cars dont have glass cracks when they crash into things.
Steps to reproduce: Drive a car with a window into a wall
This is a very easy fix since in the windows mtx files it points to a glass_cracks_norm.dds which doesn't have any crack textures, by replacing this texture with one that does it fixes every car, simple solution

Track & Layout Used: Le Mans 2005, perhaps any track not tested.

Car Used: 2005 LMP2 V8, poss the same for turbo version as well, not tested.

    Applicable Settings: N/A

Report: Track reflections appear on dashboard, behind steering wheel (disabled in my case) and surrounding area, especially noticeable in full darkness/night.

Steps to reproduce: Drive LMP2 V8 2005 around Le Mans 2005 at night, and look at dash area. With steering wheel disabled it is obvious.
