Track & Layout Used: Road America no bend, Monza 2020. Probably all.
Car Used: F-USA G1, probably all generations.
Applicable Settings: Fuel use authentic, Tyre wear authentic
Report: AI cars pit for tyres before running out of fuel (as the P2,3, and 4 cars used to before fixed) At both Road America and Monza they pit when the players worst individual tyres wear is below 15% (or 85% remaining). They fill the car with fuel for the race start and at the pitstop, for extra disadvantage! The player can use a full tank without loosing significant laptime due to tyre wear, or short fuel, gaining a significant advantage. Not too much of an issue when the fuel capacity is less than the maximum tyre wear cap of the AI, but very much an issue for classes that don't allow simultaneous refuelling and changing tyres, as the player could double stint tyres for a massive advantage. Pretty much all AI cars, in all classes, pit for 15-20% worn tyres, the player can get to around 35-40% wear before laptimes start to be seriously affected.

This is not a bug but a limitation of the Madness Engine. Once you are on track, new player´s cars won´t get loaded. You have to return to the pits to make the game load those cars.

    Report:

    BUG DESCRIPTION

In Single Race / Custom Race, the Weather Slots 3 and 4 in Qualifying are no longer independent.

They are now forced to mirror Weather Slots 3 and 4 from the Race session, making them impossible to edit separately.

Previously, all 4 Qualifying weather slots were fully editable and independent.
This behavior changed without any game update on my system.

    ---

    EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Qualifying Weather Slots 1–4 should be:
    - Fully editable
    - Fully independent from Race

    ---

    ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

    Qualifying:
    - Slot 1 → Works
    - Slot 2 → Works
    - Slot 3 → Locked to Race Slot 3
    - Slot 4 → Locked to Race Slot 4

Any change made in Race Slot 3 or 4 automatically changes Qualifying Slot 3 or 4.

Qualifying Slots 3 and 4 cannot be adjusted independently anymore.

    ---

    IMPACT / SEVERITY

    This bug breaks:
    - Dynamic weather progression in Qualifying
    - Multi-session weather planning
    - External championship and broadcast tools that rely on independent sessions

    It causes:
    - Driver mismatches
    - Missing drivers
    - Wrong driver names
    - Broken grids in multi-session workflows

This is a session logic regression, not a UI issue.

    ---

    HOW TO REPRODUCE (100% CONSISTENT)

    1. Open Single Race
    2. Go to Custom Race
    3. Enable Qualifying + Race
    4. Set 4 Weather Slots in Qualifying
    5. Try to change Quali Slot 3 or 4 → Not editable
    6. Change Race Slot 3 or 4
    7. Observe that Qualifying Slot 3 and 4 change automatically to match Race

    ---

    TROUBLESHOOTING ALREADY DONE

    - Full game reinstall
    - Steam Cloud disabled
    - All AMS2 folders deleted manually:
    - Documents
    - AppData
    - LocalAppData
    - No mods installed
    - Tested with multiple cars and tracks

Bug still persists on 100% clean install.

    ---

    TECHNICAL NOTE

It appears that the game is now linking:

    QualiWeatherSlot3 = RaceWeatherSlot3
    QualiWeatherSlot4 = RaceWeatherSlot4

These variables should be fully independent.

    ---

    REQUEST

Please review the session weather slot binding logic for:

    - Qualifying
    - Single Race / Custom Race

This is a regression that breaks weather systems, AI grids, and external championship tools.

Applicable Settings: Happens even on a fully clean install with no mods
    Report
Please see video, but the FFB is all sorts of messed up. The wheel rapidly jerks back and forth. Clean install, no mods, even verified the files.

Settings: Practice part of 3 day weekend. 30 minute slot, stock tune and lowest FFB and. I tried stock steering angle and max steering angle, nothing worked. This is only happening on Daytona oval with this specific car.

As recommended by another user, here is the same car on 2 other ovals and no issues. Same car.
The only issue is on Daytona Int'l.

    Car Used:
    Porsche 911 RSR 1974
Applicable Settings: Don't think it matters, but practice session with the GT Classic Preset
Report: Both front and rear tires on the starboard side rotate the wrong direction.
Steps to reproduce: Just drive the car from chase and notice that the tires (not the rims) rotate incorrectly. The port side tires seem fine.

    Car Used: Lamborghini Miura
    Applicable Settings: Test Day
Report: When engine cover is damaged it floats in the cabin when in cockpit view.
Steps to reproduce: Crash car so that the engine cover is broken. It may float inside cabin but only in cockpit or helmet view. From the external cameras it is in its correct position.

This can happend on any track and any car but here is where I discovered this annoying behavior that actually follows FIA rules :)

    Track & Layout Used
    : Le mans
    Car Used: LMDh Cadillac
    Applicable Settings: fuel x2
Report: DT forced by the game mid race even no more fuel for one more lap
Steps to reproduce: drive full pace for 5 Lap so only fuel for less than one Lap remains. Get a DT during this 5th lap . Even you have a requested pistop active as soon you cross the pit line it revert to DT clearance preventing your pitstop and refuel .. Race over, championship over .. GAME OVER :D

It is actually very easy to reproduce don t need to run 5 laps on lemans each time :D .. but this is where it happend to me.

So a logic saying if you have a Pitstop requested this have priority on the DT

Entering pitlane whithout a pitstop request automatically trigged the DT..

I understand this is triggered by the FIA rules but some championship doens t strictly apply this rules. Is it possible to look at adding this in the rules option ? an option like FIA DT RULES or maybe a 10 sec penalty instead of a DT as more seen on F1 than DT these days

    https://www.fia.com/sites/default/f..._penalty_points_overview_-_14_may_clean_0.pdf

    Is this make sens ?

My race is already lost and gratefully because of this I ve discover this reglementation I was not aware of. :D

    Report: Well... this:

It looks like the car in front crashed into an invisible car right in front of me. If it helps, my SecondMonitor was reporting a stopped GT4 car around that corner for several laps. Then, after several full course yellows, it appeared to clear the car. Still, no idea why this happened.

    Saved Car Setups

    Track & Layout Used
: Monza but applies to all low downforce tracks.
Car Used: GT3 but applies to all cars
    Applicable Settings: N/A
Report: When the default setup is loaded as low downforce, not all saves car setups can be loaded. When the default setup is normal (I.e. not low downforce), all saved setups can be loaded.

Is there a way to have the loaded car setup as default for all tracks rather than low downforce?

Report: AI trucks don't lift their front corner on acceleration like the player truck does. I know AI uses a simplified physics model, but this could be added so it's not so obvious. It would also be nice to have a little more camera shake from the landing impact.

    Track & Layout Used: Fontana
    Car used: 90s Indy/Champ car
    Applicable Settings: N/A
    Report:
Came back to the game recently after a while away and was craving some 90s Indy/Champ car action, but was surprised to see that the configuration of the cars for Fontana has changed, they now use the Speedway variant (same as Indianapolis) instead of the Superspeedway variant like they used to, this means that the cars don't have the Hanford Device on the rear wing and the speeds are unrealistically too high for Fontana. Is there a reason this was done? It seems like a mistake.

Report: Logitech G29 – Constant steering torque / off-center wheel when Force Feedback initializes (all presets)

    Hello Reiza team,

I would like to report an issue with the Logitech G29 on PC, related to Force Feedback initialization in Automobilista 2.

    Problem description:
As soon as Automobilista 2 initializes Force Feedback, the steering wheel applies a constant torque to the left, causing the steering center to become offset. Near the center, the wheel feels slightly “loose” in one direction and does not remain neutral.

    Important details:
This issue occurs with ALL controller presets/models:
    Logitech G29 preset
    Logitech Driving Force GT preset
    Custom / manual configuration
Changing presets only affects how noticeable the issue is, but it never fully disappears.
The behavior appears immediately when Force Feedback is activated, even before driving.
Outside Automobilista 2 (on the Windows desktop), the wheel remains perfectly centered and symmetrical.

The issue does NOT occur in other games:
    Automobilista 1
    Forza Horizon
    PlayStation 5 (GT7, among others)
Pedals work correctly (no ghost braking or clutch input).
Recalibration, different USB ports, and clean controller profiles do not permanently resolve the issue.

This appears to be a Force Feedback initialization issue where Automobilista 2 applies a constant base torque with an incorrect center offset on the Logitech G29, regardless of the selected preset.

I would really appreciate any guidance or confirmation regarding this behavior, and whether this is a known issue or something that could be addressed on the game side.
I’m happy to provide logs, videos, or any additional information if needed to help diagnose the problem.
Thank you for your work on Automobilista 2.

In the latest beta, the Corvette is fixed but not the Lambo.

    Applicable Settings: See Report
Report: Keyboard 'Steer Left' and 'Steer Right' secondary controls do not work if 'Control Scheme' 'Type' is 'Wheel'

In the game settings, go into 'Controls' and:

    - in the 'Control Scheme' section set 'Type' to 'Wheel'
    - go into 'Edit Assignment > Motion' and assign 'Steer Left', 'Steer Right', 'Throttle', 'Brake' secondary assignments to some keys. For example: Left, Right, Up, Down (arrows)
    - start a Test Day session with any car
=> You can accelerate and brake with the assigned keys but cannot steer with keyboard.
You can only steer with keyboard if the 'Control Scheme' has 'Type' set to 'Keyboard'.

It would be useful if steering with keyboard was possible with 'Control Scheme' type is 'Wheel'. Sometimes I want to test something that requires working steering without my wheel connected. It would be great if the game allowed me to do that without having to switch to a control scheme preset whose type is 'Keyboard' (and switch back to one being 'Wheel' later on).
That, and the game let you assign secondary steering keyboard controls with 'Wheel' scheme, so I would expect them to work (especially since 'Braking' and 'Throttle' keys do work).

I learned that a proper AI xml setup goes a long way in correcting this. I still see some frame dips. but it goes right back.

Track & Layout Used: Any track (Noticed in Bathurst, Spa 2005, Nurburgring 24h layout and others)
Car Used: Aston Martin DBR9, Corvette C5R, Dodge Viper GTS-R
Applicable Settings: x2 Fuel Consumption, x2 Tyre Wear
Report: The AI on these three cars pit way more often than on the other cars, going often for roughly 1/3 of a stint shorter than the Lamborghini and Maserati, rendering them completely uncompetitive in long races as they need to pit many times more. Interestingly enough, when I did a race with accelerated fuel but normal tyre wear, they pitted together, so I believe the issue is that the AI tyre wear for these cars is way too high, or the level of wear at which they decide to pit is way too small.
Steps to reproduce: Do a race with proportionaly accelerated tyre and fuel usage, with the GT1 2005 class, long enough to demand multiple stops, and observe how often each car pits.

Track & Layout Used: Any track
Car Used: A lot of them - Porsche 962c an example
Applicable Settings: none - headphones vs regular speakers
Report: Something's up with the in-car engine audio. With my regular desktop speakers, when inside the car, I can't hear my own engine anymore. It is drowned out by the tire noise, wind noise, the turbo if the car has one, and especially other cars. I can really only hear my own engine if I drive close to a wall.

Very curiously, this does not happen when I use headphones. I primarily race in VR with built-in headphones so I really only started noticing this recently since I've been having VR issues - thank you Windows 11, ugh. But yeah in case this has not been flagged... what is up with this? Could this be related to some setting? To reiterate this is a new development in the last couple of updates. It's not been a problem with previous version, pc2, or any other program. I do use speakers that can be 5.1 surround, but I only use as a 2.1 setup. Is there a center channel that the speakers aren't receiving from the game anymore? I turned off headphone mix to see if it made a difference but no... It's also not all cars. The Porsche 962c is an example where it does happen.

The rearview views also exhibit this behavior
