Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

    Car Used: Brazil Stock Car 2020 championship car (looked like a BMW)
    Applicable Settings: All GFX settings maxed
    Report: I prefer to race with the view that shows the bonnet of the car. However the reflections of the landscape on the bonnet paintwork move at a different speed to the car's turning arc, and it is both disorientating and borderline nauseous. It gives the illusion of oversteer and causes me no end of problems.
    Steps to reproduce: Drive the any Brazil 2020 car with settings maxed in the view that shows the bonnet of the car.

    Applicable Settings: Single Race, standing start, 31 opponents
    Report: Audio dropouts, it appears that many important sounds such as start signal, tire skid, road noise... receive lower priority than sounds from the opponent vehicles. When driving down the Conrod Straight, I can be alone (with the opponents on the opposite side of the track) and still the only sound I can hear is the engine sound. In some cases the sounds cut in and out as if they suddenly receive priority, but it's very intermittent.
    Steps to reproduce: Seems to happen in a Single Race when there are 7 or more opponents. The first sign is usually that the start signal sound is cut as soon as the opponents start revving their engines.

    Report: The Mini has a 5th gear when it shouldn't. By default is has the same ratio as 1st which blows the engine if you switch to it.

    Track & Layout Used: Oulton, Kyalami, maybe all tracks
    Car Used: Group A, BMW M1, maybe all new cars
    Applicable Settings: Friends Lobby Race with 12 AI Cars, standing start
    Report: Only engine sound like Roar McRipHelmet reported.
    Old Cars like Caterham don't have the sound issue.

    And AI does a really slow start with BMW M1. AI set to 100% an 25% agression.

    Latest update, 1993 Mercedes from German class, chose number 3 and from in cockpit and bonnet view the front of the car was red instead of black and silver. This was offline race at Spielberg.
    Also when the time got to night time in the race at the same spot every lap I got massive slowdown and stutter, was in the lead up to turn one and also exiting turn one. The AI also were crashing in the pitlane.

    Mini ICW (modern one): crack sound in the soundloop...
    the car info (RWD/AWD etc. is never correct even if you choose between 2 cars).
    it jumps to the correct information when the track is loading.
    same on trackinfo (lenghts) when choosing track variations (this is since release...)

    Applicable Settings: -
    Report: Car goes too fast down the pitlane at 120kph, revs 1st gear to red line, very difficult to avoid the wall when AI hands over control to player; Other cars don't do this - today I also tried Mini JCW (sticks to 60kph), caterham superlight (sticks to 60kph);
    Steps to reproduce: Select either of the cars mentioned, launch the track in test day mode, observe AI take the car out of the pits;

    Report: Car cannot exit Pit Box Garage
    Steps to reproduce: Imola quick race: Qualifying and Race. Start qualifying. Car bumps into invisible wall right out of garage

    Report: no headlights or brake lights. Third brake light does work.
    Steps to reproduce: run race in the dark with sprint car on every track but i only tried interlagos full or Oulton

    Car: BMW E30 M3 Group A.
    Track: Brands full, test day.
    Issue: While driving, the game froze, the steering pulled all the way to the right and the sound was flickering as was the RPM gauge.

    Upon returning to pits the sound was all over the place (Fuzzy/crackling), I returned to pits, the car then went into reverse by itself, sat there doing nothing and disqualified me for driving the wrong way.

    The car also leaves the pits way too fast and near crashes every time.

    The superkarts are still! broken too as they have been since day one (Tired of posting about this one). :-/

    If you turn on the headlights on the Lotus 23 (yes I know it doesn't have headlights), two specks of light float about 6 feet in front of and about 3 feet above the car.

    Just getting into AMS2 properly recently and noticed issues where everyone was starting to spin into corners all the time after a lap in a car that felt fine just previously. After more play I think the problem might be the brakes?

    The vids below are AMS1 and AMS2 - Super V8 at Spielberg.

    Notice how quick the brake temps rise and drop in AMS2 compared to AMS1. This was brake duct 8 in AMS1 and 80/80 front rear in AMS2. There is only 1 duct setting which does all ducts in AMS1 (note rear brakes stay hotter in AMS1, I'd guess because the game auto balances them front to rear?). Brake balance was the same in both games (64/36 if I recall).

    This happens on all tin top cars I checked in AMS2 (didn't try formula ones) but seems to affect spinning into corners some more than others. Group A and Super V8 particularly badly, Ginetta GT4 quite badly too.





    After a lap or 2 the heat build up seems to cause the front brakes to lose power as they overheat and the rears still have OK brake power and it's like moving the brake bias to the rear suddenly near the end of the braking zone, leading to a spin. You can mitigate it slightly by opening the brake ducts fully but it'll likely come back eventually and isn't much use for cars without a brake duct setting. You can further mitigate by opening the front ducts a lot more than the rear but it'll still end up causing problems eventually and generally ruins the balance of the cars into corners.

    Report: Sound glitch when changing gears, usually from 4th to 3rd and from 3rd to 2nd, but at other times, too.
    Steps to reproduce: Drive the M1 Procar and change gears.

    Report: The Championship doesn't end, it brings me back to race 16, the second race of round 8, over and over.

    Report: stuttering and massive slowdown leading up to the first tight left hander on the lap. Happened as the time of day was leading into evening darkness, 10x time multiplier. This is the same issue as I reported at Spielberg the day before.
    Tried the new short Hockenheim with same time of day and it did not happen there.

    Happened on earlier build as reported at the time maybe 2 months ago.

    Will run the same setup again after 10.30pm uk to see if it repeats
