the Reiza screen appears, sometimes the next screen with the logos and then it goes back to the steam page. I have tried darn near everything, using a 3080TI, 11th get i7 etc way more than the game needs and the same PC plays AC, ACC, project cars 2, iracing etc all perfectly. I updated all the drivers for every device i can find but still the problem happens. Using fanatec equipment so i dont have the logitech issue but i even tried installing that software as well. I tried with all of the equipment disconnected as well, AV , firewalls, every other unnecessary app i could think off i killed. Hey! Have you already tried to completely re-install AMS2? Also Steam File verify doesn't show any faulty data? Can you also not start the game by the ams2avx.exe? (or via steam library directly) You could also ask for help in the Troubleshooting thread, maybe someone already got this issue.
I should have mentioned I uninstalled / reinstalled several times and ran the verify as well. tried running the exe manually including run as admin. didn’t find anything in the troubleshooting thread either so far it’s a darn mystery lol
The AVX exe though, right? Shot in the dark: Have you tried deactivating steam overlay and is Nvidia driver forcing G-Sync on the game, can you deactivate it for a try?
I disabled both steam overlay and g-sync I tried both of the ams2 + the ams2avx but get the same result

already did all the firewall & antivirus stuff as well tried updating steam to the new beta as well, tried different nvidia drivers this machine is dead set to never run this game lol
Do you have different hard drives on your PC? Have you tried installing it on a different one, if possible? Have you tried excluding folders or just the .exe files for AV stuff?
i just uninstalled the game again, uninstalled the antivirus as well, reinstalled the game then the antivirus and now its working maybe when it installed before with the AV it screwed it up i have no idea.... at any rate its working now thanks for all of your replies i appreciate it

Kent i went round and round with this and couldnt get it working, i re-installed / installed it many times. I have no idea why but in the end i removed the Antivirus, rebooted, re-installed the game and then it worked perfectly. Even though the antivirus had no logs whatsoever of an issue but i am sure that was the problem. I installed about 10 other games with no issue whatsoever. Try removing the game & antivirus, reboot - re-install the game and then after you can re-install the AV. I bet it works
