I saw it as a complement to the car...

FE has some of the best racing on the planet right now...

But that car had DRS, the worst invention in racing... Unless it's available all the time... None of this only for the guy behind crap...

 

Conserning this Chaparral with the HUGE wing it could be exciting to drive because the inclination /degree does change in connection with the brake pedal movement.

 

Yeah I was just having my traditional DRS rant there...

The Chaparral would definitely be a lot of fun...

I lived in so California in the late 60s.
The chapparal and there was one car called a Cheeta. Now there's a panoz.gt1...add the Chappaeral and cheeta. That would just just leave a super high revving skyline type of car I used to drive in GTR2 MODS on Pilsbierbude. It was always orange and white..loctitel livery I believe.. Was awesome. Add these and I'll never post again

That's it! Thank you man....I just went back 60 years and my ho track... And piles of Road and Track and drag racing magazines!
Also the Skyline mod for gtr2 was an r34 race car that was super competitive and is the most fun I ever had racing sims. Great in MP.

It was probably working - mainly because of its huge size.
But if you look at the design/form of the wing then it looks like Jim Hall have yet to get inspiration from airplane wings.

When they were towing the chap for the first time to Laguna or riverside...can't remember which....someone signaled them that the wing was about to tear off. At 70mph They pulled over an somehow rebraced it.

First race car I remember to use an automatic trans. Was a worked 2 speed power glide...but its been awhile I coud have dreamed all this

 

Project cars 2 had a lot of flaws, but its car selection is behind only the likes of GT and Forza, so if they get ported over to AMS2 it's gonna be a very big boon for the game.

 

I think you are close.
But its a bit difficult to find out if the "automatic" thing was only the clutch or (more likely) some Powerglide assisted 2 (later 3) gears gearbox.
In the discussion here it also sounds like there maybe existed an extra pedal for controlling the wing

My wish would be a new series for the Brabham BT49 (which is odd to have in F Retro Gen 2).

Then we would have Formula Retro Gen 3 with others 1980/81 cars including Brabham BT49 and the iconic Lotus 88 "double chassis". And we could have a generic Reiza V8 Cosworth DFV model based on Williams FW07B.

Formula Retro G3 (83) should become Formula Retro G4.

Last but not least, we would need a newcomer for Formula Retro Gen 2 which is atm really exciting because it features the Brabham fan car and the Lotus "ground effect"... I can totally imagine a Tyrrell P34 6 wheelers to join the party there !

 

Hey by coincident isnt this two of the cars you does mention?
The Lotus with the punched boxer nose is a bit ugly - me think
But the Tyrell 6-wheeler oh man oh man.
Reiza would probably get at least 50 new customers if they introduced this marvel

My proposals for the Tyrell 6 wheeler and one of the Chaparrals is SERIOUS.
But this one could be pretty fun to have.
Im so old that if I have had money these days I would have bought this Bond Bug.

AfterThought: Its pretty amazing that this pretty modern looking car was designed more than 50 years ago.
