We really need more sleuths on the Case because there's a Ford in there somewhere.

Since no one else has seen it, I guess I'll say it. It looks like there is some
American Le Mans Series 2005 action going on.
In addition to the GT3 Gen 2 Ford mustang The following cars have been spotted.

    Audi R8.
    Lola b540
    Corvette C5.R
    Porsche 996 GT3 RSR

Perhaps a LMP3 edition of the Ginetta G57? proper LMP 3 class.
Almost seems like a shot at project motor racing.

It has been requested that we have these under spoiler tags so people who don't want to see them don't see them. Would you mind changing your post?

There's tons of potential upcoming stuff in the gamefiles. Without going in too far, three things seems very very likely up next
    • Ford Mustang GT3
    • Stock Cars Gen 3
    • Le Mans 2005 Series with a few 2005 LMP cars and track versions

I love all the possible new cars, just wonderful additions, especially the Porsche 996 GT3 - maybe it‘s time for a sequencial shifter on my rig? :D

I still hope for some modern F3 and F2 like cars, that would be a nice addition to the game I believe.

I am only an amateur DLC scientist, but having seen the not-so-subtle tease of the Dodge Viper GTS-R in the new September update blog post has me feeling froggy. Reiza has some sort of deal with Mopar now so I wonder what the chances of seeing the SRT Viper GT3-R arrive sometime later to help fill out the GT3 Gen 1 class.

Oh bro I've been eyeing up the Sim-lab SQ1 for like 3-4 months now. I just can't justify it yet. Also my priority now is to get a 3D printer since I have a project in mind. Sneak peek...

If you don't have one, the upcoming content will indeed be a great incentive to finally get one. The protos (with the exception of one model) use a sequential stick, as well as all the GT cars. Plus there's already tons of cars in the game that have one as well (V8 Supercars, GT1, some of the Brazilian prototypes, F-USA Gen 1-3 just to name a few).

Depending on what you already have and your kind of budget there's different options of course. Since I'm on a low (read: non-existent) budget but I was also in need of a replacement for my G25 shifter I got the SHH Thorn last December. It offers both H-pattern and sequential modes that are easy to switch, it feels great thanks to adjustable resistance and generally offers lots of bang for the buck. Once I got the mounting sorted out on my desk and got some better shift knobs (even cheap metal ones from aliexpress will do!) I can safely say that I've never had this much fun using H-Pattern and sequential stick cars before!

I've been in the market for a shifter for quite some time now. I tend to avoid the 2 in 1 shifters because they usually either do one part good and one part bad, or they do both parts mediocre. Or they cost an arm and a leg. I so far have had a chance to try the Simagic H pattern shifter. It's not bad for a combo shifter, it's just that I look for a strong feeling sequential, something requiring actual force to use, and the sequential on that one feels like an afterthought. I'm also on somewhat on a limited budget but I look to upgrade something on my rig each year, to keep it fun and fresh. This year it will be either the shifter or the cockpit project. Next year most likely a PC upgrade and then after that triples. However I'm scrapping all of that if a good deal for an E46 coupe pops up online.

So I just put that up here for discussion whatever this might be that appears in the game since 1.6.8

Seems like we might get our own "Ferraris" o_O
(Reiza, feel free to delete if it spoils too much)

Talking about taste and preference is complicated. For example, I have no interest in Ferrari. As a Brazilian, I'd be much happier with South American content. There are plenty of categories to be enjoyed in Brazil and Argentina.

But I completely understand people's desires. Ferrari is Ferrari, and Reiza, now more than ever, is a global product. Of course, everyone wants their favorites. But I'm happy that Reiza always does the best they can. They don't have the F1 license, no problem. They make something generic, which is probably better than licensed content. So if Ferrari isn't interested in AMS 2, no problem. I'm sure they'll do something much better than expected. For example, I'm a fan of the Boxer Cup in AMS 1.

Strangely the not previously known content is my magnet :) Never heard of Londrina and it's such a cool wee track. Or Ligier endu class.

There's so much to discover and broaden the horizons.

But I'd like Ferrari too ;)

I so dearly want this to be true because I love the art of knockoff car marques (especially Grand Theft Auto's nearly 3 decades of maintaining these fake brands through multiple games). On the other hand, IDK if I would want Reiza time/effort going into this on the off chance that a real license could materialize down the road.

The other cars in AMS 2 that are heavily inspired by real life counterparts (basically every non-licensed Formula car + FUSA) have all been so great that I know that a Fugazi G40 Competizione would be just as fun to drive as the real thing.

I do wonder if the IMSA license would prevent fantasy vehicles from being included in presets/etc.

Hopefully Reiza will add overwrite liveries being able to use preset tags in the future :)

Oh, that's a good find and car knowledge. I tried to look it up since I didn't know any car with that name, Google and Bing couldn't find any car related to Milano too.
