rF2 just got what i want in AMS 2 !! Looks like i'm spending more time in rF2 than AMS 2 for the next while !
I still hold hope for AMS 2 but now rF2 has the good and with some of the most amazing sounds Reiza will have their work cut out (like they don't already ) for them.

Just been trying the Raceroom Gp4 content... mmm - let's just say it's a good thing Reiza have upped their sound game lately!

I've lost count of how many times I've fired up RaceRoom just for the audio experience. I mean, it's a very decent drive for me but, the audio is certainly next-level (along with ACC). RR still wins hands down in terms of user tuning options and amazing back-fire effects with good overall in-car resonance.

ACC provides excellent sound-samples with very good use of sound-reflection effects. The one-size fits all approach to back-fires is an unfortunate carry-over from AC though.

Looks like I guessed the wrong Mercedes, have updated the list to include:

    • 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 Evo
    • 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM
    • 1995 McLaren F1-LM

Regarding the McLaren, not sure if this one is in GT1 spec, it wasn't mentioned as part of the GT1 car class - is anyone more of an expert than me? It looks like the ironically named F1-LM track car instead of the racing F1-GTR to me.

Looks like it is the track car one.

Hopefully, the long tail is on its way. Would love the whole GT1 class form Pcars 2 here.

Well, they'll be versions of tracks already in the base game. From the OP, they've mentioned (not in the context of the HTP DLC), Estoril (1988), Monaco (1988) and Kyalami (1992) so for other possibilities look at the track list and think of some options that might fit the car classes in game.

Some other possibilities (ie just making this up, it's not rumour) would be:
    - Interlagos ~1991
    - Oulton Park ~1970 (was a major international venue in the 70s)
    - Jerez ~1988, ~2000
    - Brands Hatch ~1976
    - Suzuka ~1988
    - Spielberg ~2000

Is that correct that it only will be some further versions of tracks allready in the game?
If correct then its a bit disappointing (pour moi :().

Quote from the Season Pass Steam page:

I just realised these versions aren't covered in the track pass, so Reiza will have to make some nice ones as I'll be needing to pay for these ;)

I'll be pleasantly surprised if there is more than a handful of tracks in the pack, some of which may already be in AMS2. Reiza is having to cut its cloth to financial, time and pandemic restrictions, hence announcing just two GT1 cars, delaying historical Spa, etc. Given time, we may see more.

Some other examples of historic versions of tracks currently in AMS2 that haven't been mentioned here yet:
    • Versions of Monaco older than 1988, such as 1971 or 1974
    • Snetterton 1974
    • 1970's Ibarra that went around the lake
    • Fictional 2010 Donington proposal with layout variants
So there are a lot of options, although some are certainly more likely than others ;)
But given that we currently have Formula Retro G1 being the 1974 season, some of the above proposals are not completely out of the question at some point even though it may require a lot of work!

I would love the 2010 proposed Donington layout. Does any game have this?

    Edited OP to
    • Remove the released GT1 cars and McLaren F1 LM street car
    • Moved Porsche 962C and Sauber C9 to the confirmed list
    • Added Long Beach and Daytona to the Known Knowns list
    • Added a small piece of my own speculation

the new custom livery override folder also contains folders with template xml for
    BMW 2002 turbo
    Lamborghini Diavolo GTR
    Lamborghini Huracan GT3
    Lamborghini Huracan Supertrofeo
    Lotus 98T
    Nissan GT-R GT3
    Nissan R390 GT1
    Nissan R89C
    Porsche 962C
    Sauer C9

This folders and xmls are definitely no pCARS2 leftovers, so a hint what to come next ;)

Good find sir! That's good for some rumour, here's hoping - surprised if they have Lamborghini before some others but certainly won't complain - will definitely add to the OP - is there another thread mentioning that anywhere?

Those all seem relevant to the classes we know but can't be coincidence that they're all PC2 content too.

compared to AMS1 , PC2 CAD models were allways very detailed.
This models with enhanced physics made by Reiza is win/win :)
