just jumped on my server, started practice with 12 litres, on first lap it said I had half fuel left , when it got to 9 litres it said 2 mins of fuel remaining even though it was only a 2minute lap time

Hey Gongo, I was just trying to be helpful .
If you say it cannot read max fuel, then that's ok. I was just informing you (of the fact) that I often check fuel amounts used by AI after a session, and since it would tell me the AI had '42%' fuel, or '97%' fuel, I logically assumed that AMS must be able to tell when the tank is full. I do not know anything about the coding, but I simply reported it in case it was helpful.

My description of what happened in Brasilia is also fact.

For the fuel info, I use simresults.net. (I have no idea how it gets the fuel data, I could not see it when I searched a log file manually).
I upload a log file from any session to the site, and I can look at lap times, sector times, and fuel loads for each lap. It helps me gauge more accurately how my lap times compare to AI when I'm editing and adjusting AIWs.

yer its not a major deal with the fuel I think its just a bit buggy and gets confused at time, if I reset the server and then reset spotter come in and it was fine did not give me you have half your fuel left message ( I will get exact message next time it does it). it seems to happen more when I first jump onto my server in a practice session, its so erratic its really hard to pin down but will make some notes next time I'm on. as an example I jumped on practice server tonight and after I restarted the weekend I got white flag messages 3 times on every lap, then I restarted spotter left the track and came back and it was perfectly fine. it just seems to be a timing thing on when you join the server.
will get more detailed info next time.

Yes, I agree. Fuel use tracking is just a general pain in the arse. It's hard to get right, doesn't seem impressive when it *is* right, but really grates when it's not.

Regarding the app's 'polish' (or lack of), most of this is in my code rather than Gongo's. It's all open source - you're all welcome to fork the repo and submit pull requests. The code isn't hard to work with but it's quite big and disorganised in places. When I start the app I'd never used C# in my life so it's simple to get up to speed

Are you going to remove fuel warnings from practice and qualification?I had them a couple of times and were always correct, I don't know if I was a lucky one but last time, during a race at montreal, I had all the fuel warnings working and near the end of race spotter tolds me I have only 2 liters of fuel left and it was right!!! (seeing the warnings on srd9c too was fantastic!!!)

yes I have found most times the fuel is correct , just a few glitches here and there but seems to settle if you reset session and spotter

But don't we have blue flags during qualify too?

Meh, long day coding at work, bath the kids, read stories and put 'em to bed, cook dinner, eat dinner, watch a bit of telly, then start work on Crew Chief at 9pm, exhausted. It's no wonder the code is a little 'sub-optimal' :)
