Easier way to select vehicle subtype in championship setup screen?

This might be hard to explain:

Some of the cars have various models e.g. F3 has F301 and F309, Formula Trainer has the Novice and Advanced subtypes, Caterham has several models, etc.

The vehicle menu in the "Test Day" setup screen separates these subtypes so it's easier to select a particular model. Here is an example showing the Formula Trainer "Advanced" and "Novice" subtypes, which makes it easier to select a specific car. If you click on, say, Novice, it will display a list of only the novice-configured cars from which to choose.



However when selecting a car from the Championship setup screen there is no easy way to tell which particular model of car is being selected:



Is there any easy way to display which subtype of car is being selected in the championship screen here? It would be especially nice if there is a way to get the clear sub-categories like in the Test Day setup screen in the first image. Is that possible with an .ini tweak or something? If not I'd like to suggest adding this in a future patch if possible.
