Enable H-Pattern Fanatec how?

UPDATE: I retried using H-Pattern Fanatec shifter in this game using same gear/PC/software and same Caterham there recently - and it worked, no problems - I didn't have to change any settings or use any sort of Custom mapping.... so either I changed something else that fixed it, or there was a game update that fixed it (might be more likely)
