I struggle to keep this car in the straight line. Seems that the ffb is trying to not keep the car straight but to sway it left and right all the time. G27 owner here.

    Does anyone feel the same?

Not really. It is one of the cars that feels the best to me, in fact. It behaves as I would expect, it is not a high downforce open wheel after all.

No issues here holding a straight line with the F-vee.
    Check:
    • Setup - reset to defaults
    • FFB - adjust LFB / in-game Damping levels

I agree with you that the car is great fun:cool:

But on the straight lines (and in high speeds) the suspension is swaying the wheel left and right, so you must play with the wheel all the time (pandulum effect?). Is this the case for you?

Ps I m in default car setup. My ffb settings: 58/28/100/0 (for all cars, not just the vee)

    Three things it could be:

    1. Probably gain too high
    2. The infamous deadzone of the Logitech G-wheels. Increase driver strength to 107 to make the deadzone smaller, but if you do you've to lower ingame settings a bit.
    3. Delete AMS 2 folder. Start anew or reset setup ingame.

Weird, no pendulum effect for me on the straights.

I use a G29 and all default (FFB, setup and any logitech config, all default).

Thanks @Marius H . I think it may be the 1 (but i am already low with 58 in game settings and 80-82 for in car ffb:mad:). I may also need to play with the car setup a little(?)

Ps I also think that i may have configured wrong my logitech driver settings (control panel) from the beggining. My damper and spring effect settings are not set to 0 (as many owners suggest) but to 60%, which may lead to inconsistant setups. I also have enabled the "centering spring" to 34%. The problem is that if i change all of these settings i may need to recalibrate the ffb for all my games and i dont have the time or will to do so...:(

caster would be the setup change you'd want to look at

You mean tweaking the (front) caster angle?

yes, caster will effect centering forces in a straight line.

If I remember correctly you need to put Center spring: Let the game define/choose or so.

Just an update 'bout my case:

I did what i should have done long ago: I changed my wheel's cp settings (in logitech driver) to what Reiza recommends for Logitech users here Automobilista 2 Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations. Tbh i didn't have much luck with the f-vee car, even with the "new" settings :( (but the good thing is that i didn't feel much difference in ffb, so, i am going to keep these Logitech cp settings for all my games now. On the other hand those settings transformed the way ffb feels in rF2 now:cool:)

The only setting that really changed the "strange" ffb feeling of the car (in straight lines) was the front center toe-in angle value. I changed it to -1.0 (even though the text suggests the opposite). Now the car feels way more stable in the straights:) (i also lowered my in garage ffb value a little)

Strange - i know - but it works

Thanks so much for posting your solution. Having similar problems with the Formula V and a G29 Logitech wheel. Yeah that baby is waaaay too shaky to drive effectively! :D
