Alternatively, you could back up or rename the AMS2 folder in My Documents, then boot up the game. This will reset everything, so you’ll need to rebind your peripherals and adjust your settings. It’s incredibly odd that you’re experiencing such a dip in frames. In this patch, the track wetness graphics and some related features have been altered or improved, which might be affecting your system significantly. I’m not sure what kind of configuration you’re using, but here are a few troubleshooting options: Verify your AMS2 cache. Backup or rename your AMS2 folder in My Documents, delete it, reboot AMS2, and see if your frames return to normal. (Note: This will reset everything, so you’ll need to reconfigure your settings.) Hi, I tried everything, even uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing worked; I'm getting 40 FPS in the rain and 60 in the sun. Maybe the problem will go away with a new SteamOS or game update. I’ve used various versions of Proton, both the system-provided ones and unofficial builds like CachyOS and GE. Only CachyOS delivers higher FPS, but it pushes GPU usage to 99%.
It could be SteamOS or Proton, etc. Maybe @Cyneo Can help you as well. He knows a lot about Linux. SteamOS is a fork of Linux as well. He's not related to Reiza, but his knowledge is amazing.
Hi, Sorry for the delay; I've been a little busy. If your FPS drops, it's most likely due to the version of Proton you're using. On Cachyos, we have ProtonUp-QT to choose which version we want to use on Steam; right now, I'm using this one: I need to know your graphics card so I can tell you whether to use a different version of Proton. And also so we can undervolt and overclock the graphics card at the same time to make it run better and keep the temperature from rising.

11.0-20260602 x86 64 v3: This version is optimized for graphics card technology; in my case, I use it with an NVIDIA card. 11.0-20260602 x86 64: The standard version; it’s also optimized but offers broader compatibility overall. I would try the graphics-optimized version, the V3, first and then compare it with the general version, the other one. proton-cachyos-11-v3 -> first use this proton-cachyos-11 -> second use this and compare FPS If issue persist -> we will use others Proton like "Experimental". CPU and GPU load—and therefore temperature and FPS—depend on several factors, not just AMS2. It depends on whether you have your browser open while gaming, for example, or other applications running. The best way to check is to use the KDE System Monitor (Win+ESC) and see what resources each application is using—CPU, memory, etc.
