When it came out I searched the forum and found nothing, so I published my own thread, now I see that there are three, anyway.
Well I found a solution to implement FSR in Steam, Unity and Unreal 4 games. This is only for openvr in principle. I leave you the link of the project on GitHub. but with this it did not work in AMS2 because it uses an old API, but someone from the ACC forum modified it and now if it works by putting it in the x64 folder, I leave the download link at the end of the post.

    Proyect:
GitHub - fholger/openvr_fsr: Add FidelityFX SuperResolution to SteamVR games

    Archive:
    155.7 KB folder on MEGA

Yes, I'm the guy on the ACC forum, and if you check the first post of this thread it is already linked.

Anybody have any experience using this with Oculus (CV1)? Is this working with Oculus and is there perfomance benefits using this with SteamVR and Oculus compared to using Oculus mode when starting AMS2?

I think I'm going to try this first with ACC - if this is working with Oculus and when I get time to test things instead of driving - as there is much more to be gained from potential perfomance improvements compared to AMS2 with my system.

Coming from the Reshade thread I was wondering how Nvidia Sharpening (from the control center) would affect this?

It's been said to disable the in-game sharpening so I was just curious.

Thank you! Will give it a test… once I get frame rates stable in VR which is a challenge!

It works very well (1.1) but the image seems a bit watery on my reverb g2 (running at 90% SteamVR resolution). What’s the confit settings you all use? (any 2080ti users here that race in the rain?)

I was wondering if somebody thought of making the sharpening/up scaling dynamic based on gpu load. That would be awesome as in the rain or wet track the GPU can’t keep up but then during the same race in dry weather there is way too much free GPU power that could be used to make it look sharper/more defined. Would it be possible to build that into the dll? (Haven’t seen the source code)

I’ve settled on 0.9 sharpening, 0.7 render scale, 0.3 radius and 120% SS in steam on my G2. Then 0.5 sharpening in the OpenVR settings.xml

if you’re running reprojection vs 90fps native you might be able to push the SS higher.

@NuScorpii - This is a game changer.... thank you very much :):):)

Normally I would run at 100% steam vr with my g2 with locked motion repo.... now I can run at 90fps

Long Beach at sunset would be a terrible experience before (especially in PC2) - now I am able to run very high settings and mostly a smooth 90fps.

    Very impressed !

Just a question for Oculus users: is it better to run AMS2 via oculus mode or steamVR+OpenVR-FSR? Thanks

Thanks @NuScorpii , this is excellent.
I'm running 1.2 fsr res and 60 steamvr res and performance is great.

Thank you so much @NuScorpii for sharing this info. This FSR mod worked like a charm! I've been able to bump up the SteamVR rez settings with plenty of headroom to spare while holding 90fps with 24 cars at night with a thunderstorm. Awesome!!!
