Thanks @Fizzy, indeed its a Pascal problem and it is going to have to wait who knows how long unless i can swap for a 2070 super (anyone wanna swap?) i wont be changing cards in this current pricing climate. In NVCP you can enable a pop up icon that comes on when G-Sync is active, top left when in the G-Sync page there are a few drop downs, one is "display" and there is a G-Sync notification box to check, then when its active a icon appears around the middle of your screen on the left.
