    "Tears from my eyes keep on falling"

    What great backstories, guys. I’m truly amazed at how everyone’s journey is different, and yet all paths led to playing either AMS1 or AMS2 (or even earlier versions). Earth is 44,000 km in diameter, but it still shows how small the world is and how everyone connects through the game and hobby they truly love.

    Personally, my story began perhaps 12 or 13 years ago, maybe even further back. I loved Colin McRae and similar games on the PS1. I was amazed by how they played, and what came next. Seeing mud form on the car was groundbreaking. Fast forward a bit, and I loved playing WRC from Milestone on and off with a controller—just having fun. What a blast. However, I mostly preferred playing Football Manager and Diablo 2/3.

    In 2014, I booted up Euro Truck Sim and bought my first wheel, a Logitech DGFT. Little fun thing. I had a blast driving trucks. A year later, I bought Dirt Rally. Oh boy, I was totally captivated by how amazing it was. I upgraded to a G27, and that’s when my simracing hobby began. It spiraled into racing for 8–9 hours a day (wasn’t my best period in life). I was the first person to get all the achievements and hit 1,000 hours in Dirt Rally. I even got mentioned and awarded in the Christmas special by Paul Coleman. Meanwhile, I tried circuit racing too—Raceroom, rFactor 2, Project Cars, AMS1. I had a blast, but I was still heavily into rallying, especially Dirt Rally and RBR.

    Two years later, life wasn’t going the way I wanted. Quarter-life crisis. I also discovered I had autism, specifically Asperger's. The cherry on top was when Dirt 4 wasn’t shaping up to be the successor to Dirt Rally, so in October 2017, I sold my rig. It was a fully decked-out Fanatec V2.5 with V3 pedals, Heusinkvelds, etc., all attached and bolted onto a GT Omega Supreme. Flexed like hell, but it was my first rig.

    Anyway, in February 2018, one of my cats died, and exactly a year later, my second cat passed too. Out of grief, I bought a used T300 combo with a wheelstand to play the newly released Dirt Rally 2. I had fun for a month or two but was heavily disappointed too, as it was just a shallow copy of the first game. It had scrapped a lot of features, and the FFB wasn’t even working as it should until 9 months later. I sold the T300 combo.

    Around summer, I saw an used Fanatec F1 Black on my local marketplace. I bought it for desk decoration. Little did I know, I was slowly buying different pieces of equipment. I bought a SimLab too (before they sold their soul). In October—you know where this is going—I had a rig again. I gave rFactor 2 a try, then iRacing, and finally got into AMS1. I annoyed Marc here on the forum, hehe. In February 2020, AMS2 came into my life when I bought the Paddock Access. Now, 4, nearly 5 years later, I’m a beta tester, working for Reiza, having a great time with my colleagues and the game. I host the MP tests, report back internally, and am at last trying to build up a community that embraces AMS2 and Reiza. I’m excited to see where the future takes me, us, and Reiza

    I was reading some article and came across this:

    "Despite the still impressive performance of the 620-hp, 850-kilo flounders, the assessment of one of Porsche’s best-known works drivers of the time was particularly surprising. According to Jochen Mass, the Group C cars were easier and more comfortable to drive than their successors in the GT1 regulations."

    I imagined him ending up in a sim racing forum peddling this "blasphemy" and chuckled, the poor man would get torn to pieces by the internet experts.

    Those videos last night from Reiza have confirmed to me that I made the right choice buying AMS2 at V.1.1.1.1 I'm loving the improvements I see, when we get the dev update I think there'll be more to it than we can imagine.

    Guys, V1.6 is finally on the last lap! :D

    Well guys...let's put in this way. I LOVE AMS2 and that is 100% sure from the botto of my hearth...BUT...

    There are no much title to play as:
    - Assetto Corsa Competizione got the "last" update and i think this title has finished his journey in terms of content;
    - Assetto Corsa go with mods and...that's it?!;
    - RaceRoom is not played as the two titles before;
    - iRacing is a pay-to-race as RaceRoom...very good title but i am not keen to pay every month for a game.

    Assetto Corsa Evo is still work in progress and we don't when and how. I think AMS2 will be soon a leader in SimRacing games.

    But is it a lap on Monaco or Nordschleife? ;)

    Looking forward to read more about the changes, whenever they are released. The preview videos sparked my appetite to race against the improved AI. Fingers crossed, it won't be too long now.

    I disagree, RaceRoom is having a little resurgence at the moment, I enjoy it personally over AC. There's still many sim racers out there who don't like AMS2 and one huge update still might not change their minds.

    I hope not like Monaco ... I fear it may never reach the finish line ..... :p (my driving skills there in mind)

    BTW. Hello everyone! :) My first post here. I am switching over from EA's F1 23/24 where things are a mess! :mad: Everything is going down there! Tried AMS2 with Gen Ultimate 2 and livery mods and have so much more fun ........ no comparision!!! ... should have known earlier .....:(
