The AMS2/Ferrari discussion is honestly becoming exhausting.

Riccardo’s video was clearly criticizing Ferrari’s licensing approach and the idea that a simulator somehow “isn’t worthy enough” to deserve the license — not blindly defending Reiza or pretending AMS2 is perfect.

Yet a lot of people instantly turned the conversation into:
    “AMS2 has mediocre physics anyway”
    or
“Ferrari was right to reject them”.

    You can dislike AMS2.
You can prefer ACC, LMU, iRacing or AC Evo.
    That’s perfectly fine.

But there’s a difference between constructive criticism and constantly using every discussion as an excuse to throw mud at the sim, its community, or the people talking about it.

Licensing decisions are often strategic, commercial and political long before they are purely technical.

And honestly, considering everything AMS2 offers in terms of:

    - historical content,
    - variety,
    - immersion,
    - weather,
    - AI,
    - atmosphere,
    - motorsport diversity,

reducing the entire simulator to “Ferrari said no, therefore the sim is mediocre” feels incredibly superficial.

At this point the discussion says more about the toxicity of parts of the sim racing community than about AMS2 itself.

For reference, I’m talking about discussions like the one under Riccardo’s video/comment here:

Even if I'm not that old, I'm too old to care about what some fanboys or kiddies say about things I like. Simracing has some dumb fanboyism about which sim to play, arguing with them is just a waste of time.

Why do you take things like this so personally? Games featuring Ferraris...

Need for Speed: Rivals, Heat, Unbound.

    The Crew.

    The EA F1 series.

    Gran Turismo.

    Forza Horizon.

    Test Drive.
    ...
    ..
    .
    OutRun...!

All famous for their fantastic physics, right?

F1 23 is my highlight of best AI in any racing game from recent years. I did not get a chance to play the Grand Prix games unfortunately.

They have their own set of issues in all honesty, I find most of the races are rather dull with no real mistakes outside of failures and maybe making contact with another AI. Much like AMS 2 I see strategy mostly be determed by fuel rather than tires. In slower corners while the field is bunched up they also have a habit of smashing into eachother, especially those who are backmarkers. And do to the limited content when youve been through one season youve kinda been through them all.

AI vs AI wheel to wheel is the only thing about the game I consider to be above and beyond AI-wise. Most other aspects I think have been met or even surpassed by the likes of Nr2003, AMS 2 and Iracing, along with the F1 games if we count that.

    Hi,

I moved a few meme posts from the old Dev Blog to this topic. I get the hype, but posting memes can come across as a bit spammy, and hinders the topic-flow.

    Thank you,
    Marius

I know this will be off topic, but what about the proposed possibility of maybe reopening of the paddock club so people could support Reiza in other ways than only game and dlc sales. In the February blog there was talk about it and that there would be news soon. Is there anything to say about it? Or won't it come back?

I have no special info but I really hope they reopen it for v1.7 to bring an influx of new testers.

I wonder if at some point Reiza will implement track evolution so realistic the asphalt starts coming apart during the race and it causes a red flag (like it happened in yesterday's Monaco GP).
On a side note, I can never remember if the correct spelling is asphalt or assfault, I always have to check to make sure I spell it correctly.
