Still not even a single word on the .95 update?

 

Why would there need to be a word about an update, the team hopefully had a bit of a vacation/break after the last 2 big updates, and seemingly work has resumed now, once the update is ready to be released you will know soon enough.

As far as i'm aware they don't owe you anything as you haven't paid for the next update/DLC, yet you seem to feel entitled to it.

Plenty of stuff to play/do in the meantime, wether it's AMS2 or another sim/game, heck, you can even go outside and touch grass for a bit.

Repeating the same broken record over and over doesn't do anyone any favours and certainly won't make any news/update appear faster.

 

I agree with Polaris. If Reiza wants to become an ambitious software house whose products are synonymous with reliability, solidity and quality, it absolutely must manage the relationship better. with the community. I'm Italian and I saw Kunos make the same mistake. In life, you either get better or you get worse. There's no such thing as maintenance. Eventually you lose your direction and become a victim of avoiding taking a step upward. A positive example is Studio 397. LMU is certainly not a perfect product but it has a constant dialogue with the community and is significantly improving its product making it enjoyable and full of new features that constantly keep enthusiasm high A month has passed since that post where Renato announced that the 1.6.9.95 dedicated to formula would arrive within a week or two. There has been no further communication since that post. Move Comments related to this type of situation are not appropriate because that post is in this thread. Four lines would be enough to inform the community about the status of the work. Clarify whether you are working on 1.6.9.95 or if the times will be longer because they want to release 1.7 directly in 1 or 2 months. It almost seems like these messages are a nuisance both for Renato and for those who modera il forum You're forgetting that we've contributed significantly to supporting Reiza by purchasing the game and, in my case, purchasing all the DLC. We also need to grow as a community. It's not possible that every comment of this kind will be completely moved elsewhere and bombarded with dislikes and other negative reactions. If a person makes this type of comment, they do it because they care.much to the success of the game having, as mentioned, supported Reiza, and not a little, also from an economic point of view. By doing so, a part of the users is destined to lose confidence over time both in Reiza that in the product itself.

 

I think people have wrong expectations from a very approachable devs as shown in this and many other threads here.

Reiza opened their doors for us to better understand the ins and outs. Reiza put vague timescales for a reason and those were treated with accuracy expected only from legal documents by some very loud parts of community.
So as expected, there are less and less vague statements, focus understandably shifted towards what, not when.

And even after such shift, they're are still great with updating the community with their plans. Just don't expect the timescales.
Nor expect that a wishlisted feature will happen just because devs read it. Acknowledged doesn't mean will be shipped in next update. Or ever.

Too much whining about update schedules and not enough racing, AMS2 is currently in fantastic shape and it offers a helluva lot more than other simulators where the devs don't engage half as much as Reize currently do.

Less worry about what you don't control and more enjoyment of what you can drive.

 

Recently PMR made big news how they overhauled GT3 and GT4 and added triple support. Triple support for now is still awful, the FOV is not skewed heavily anymore but on side monitors cars just disappear and pop back in all the time and sidemirrors are not working at all. And the big new update to the classes feels even worse than before. You can now just throw the steering wheel into the corner and make insane drifts to be fast, feels more like Forza Horizon than a sim now.

LMU also made a big update with one my favorite tracks: Laguna Seca. I was schocked how they could release such this state of the track with cars completely flipping over when you slightly touch a sauage curb and the AI not able to stay on track for a whole race at all.

So with other studios making big fuzz about their work and recording nice promo trailers how amazing the new content is. After just a few races I was back in AMS2, enjoying the whole package of visuals, smooth framerate, great AI duels and great and fun pyhsics and just soooo much content to explore.

We had big AMS2 updates in March, June and July. And we still know about the next updates and dlcs (while 1.7 and career mode are also on the way):

• 1960s Can-Ams, early to late 1970s Le Mans prototypes and late 1970s Group 5s, along with several circuits from that era
• 1990s British Touring Cars
• 2005 German Touring Cars
  
• New Modern Content

I really don't know what kind of rush of new content you expect. I still haven't driven all 2005 endurance Pt2 cars for more than a few short races and I'm still bad at drive them with my sequential shifter properly.

Before we're getting updates on updates on updates of moved timelines that make everyone unhappy just let them cook. A car I'm really looking forward to appeared in the game file around since like last september, so of course I will be really excited when it drops, but I trust Reiza to decide when it's ready to drop or if it has to be bundled with other licenses to have the best impact for the game

 

Just a little something I did with the AI. I call this "Racing Japan DLC". In four parts, of course, in true Reiza fashion.
One can dream.

 

That looks absolutely great! Would love to see it like this in the actual game.

I think it will be a dedicated DLC that will be released with version 1.7 which I think will arrive no earlier than the end of October given the delay of 1.6.9.95. Naturally, according to the Roadmap the Historical will be released the Historical Endurance pack part 3. I remember that with the 1.6 they will come out 3 DLCs. So I also expect a Historical Track Pack dedicated to the 70s
