Check out the 2026 development preview, Renato bascially says they decided to double down on AMS2 with more developers instead of going for a new title. I honestly don't see the appeal of a new game atm that will start over with very limited content with sims usally taking 2-3 years after first launch to get into a good state.

I think PMR has a lot of potential now, especially since Bell has left. I uninstalled it again because there were quite a few technical issues with the game when it first came out. But I think it’s time to install it again and give it another try.
I also think one of the biggest problems for many players is the way the settings are split into two different areas. You have to configure the FFB in two separate places in the game to get a good result — global settings versus vehicle-specific settings. That can be quite overwhelming for many players.
Nevertheless, I think PMR’s driving feel ultimately depends heavily on getting these settings right, because properly adjusting the FFB is essential.
At least, that was my experience when I still had it installed on my system.

 

i wish i could have a setup that represent what i should experience with the ffb. A good starting point ‘. Their default setting is lazy. I tried so many setting that are weird.

 

AMS2 was released in 2020, so it would be interesting if update 1.7 was released on AMS2's 7th birthday.

 

Yes, honestly i really don’t need an AMS3 for at least 2 years, the game is starting to get really complete in terms of content

 

AMS3 would be reduntant as it would have a fraction of the content and features AMS2 has right now so why bother ?

BeamNG hasn't even left early acces, there are levels to this game lol

 

That game showed me that the label "early access" is meaningless.

 

It's an early access to early access Think about it - we would not have BeamNG at all and for the next few years (probably). But now we can enjoy it, even if it's not there yet. I don't mind that.

At least they are not trying to convince anyone that it's a fully fledged 1.x version where it clearly isn't. Same was with Kartkraft (RIP).

 

The cool thing about BeamNG is that if you've never played it and you buy it today you'll have late access to an early access game.

 

Personally I stopped editing all the server.cfg files once I purchased and started using the Emperor Server AMS2 server managing tool. Everything is GUI based and you can access the web interface from any online browser.

Drove a track prepared mustang at The Bend last weekend, much fun! Am going to try and do it every year now if I can, managed to pull 230kph down the main straight without too much effort, but the brakes were insane, ended up braking too early for a lot of corners cos they worked so well, lol. Also found it hard to brake from that speed and change down at same time cos even though i was wearing a harness the brakes were trying to put me through the windscreen.

 

If we're doing plugs, I signed up and paid for emperor servers, because I thought it was compatible with justrace, because I didn't read things properly. Anyway I wrote to Emperor asking to cancel from the start of the next month, but they went the extra mile and also refunded me for the first month which had already started. Good guys to deal with.

 

It wasn't meant to be a plug. I suggested the software as an alternative solution in the Dedi Server thread to someone who was struggling with the AMS2 DS setup. I know I've struggled with setting up the PCars2 and AMS2 DS servers in the past until I regularly started using Emperor Server's AMS2 DS server. Any yes, they're great to work with. I thought I was being helpful but my post got moved here. Oh well. lol

Apparently @Gonky Racing took it as a plug. Perhaps because he was trying to push his AMS2 DS software he's building? I mean I'm all for more options for all the AMS2 fans out there. :shrug:
