I'm still having the old HUD. How can I force the new HUD?

 

Did you get to fix it It only happens in VR for me...

Oh no, that was too long ago for me, and a lot of good updates have been released since then.

Could you perhaps tell me if there are plans to increase the grid size in F1 V10 Gen2 back to 22 or 24 cars?

I am relatively new to the sim racing community and was unable to find a specific topic addressing this, so I would like to ask a question: how exactly does the ranking points system work?

Why are points deducted in situations where a collision occurs and I am clearly not at fault, regardless of how careful I am? This tends to happen most often in the first corner after the start. You can be taken out by other drivers and still receive a penalty.

While this may not be critically important, the ranking system is still intended to be an indicator of a driver's skill level. However, it appears that no matter how carefully one drives, the outcome is significantly influenced by the actions of other drivers.

 

I learned to not give a care about ranks, and just enjoy races. Second thing, i would recommend not racing in public lobbies, join leagues ! They give even less care about any rating nonsense there, and in them you got proper stewarding in place as to who was at fault for any incidents.

 

I feel like this latest version (despite its undeniable improvements!) is a step backward when it comes to downshifting. I no longer hear that all-important, reassuring blip!
Is it just me, or have others noticed this too?
I also realize I can no longer find the setting for it (in the options)... Does this mean it has simply disappeared, or—once again—am I just confused?

 

Do you mean auto blip?
Has there been an option/setting for this?
Maybe it has been moved to another menu like driving aids or within the contoller settings.

Does it affect your driving? I mean: Does the driving wheels lock when you downshift without blipping the trottle? Or are you referring to cars which should auto blip by their own like GT3 cars?

As UberFrosh asked: Is it only about the sound? I haven't noticed yet.

 

Do you mean the actual shifting sound? I noticed that the shifting sound is toned down on the new cars, and I very much welcome that. Some cars (I remember the F USA 23 as a particular example) had shifting sounds that almost sounded like gunshots. That kind of killed the immersion for me.

 

Yes, I mean the auto blip.
It seems it does not affect my driving (good) but I miss the sound so the immersion is affected (bad).

I did not test the new cars (this kind is not for me) but on all the "old" cars I tested, I noticed that it was "tuned down" way to much (for my liking).

 

In this inborad video, you can hear the roar of the blip: nothing is tuned down here!

 

Hello folks, have a problem when it comes to how the HUD displays on my main monitor (therefore what is captured by OBS) when playing in VR. In my headset it looks normal, with pitlane speed limit in the centre, car condition and rev counter in the bottom right, but on stream/recording it looks like the below. How can I fix this please?


Edit: This is what happens when I go to edit the HUD layout, it seems to think the elements I mentioned are somewhere else but it isn't lining up. The frames are where the elements are in the VR view, just again not on the desktop view for game capture purposes.

 

Guys, can someone give advice regarding brakes ?
It's or too soft (90% brake pressure) or locking up way too quickly , which must not happen that easily I guess. I wonder if only I have the issue with super easy brakes lock up. Let's say 96% brake pressure. If balance 54-46(till 48) you can prevent from lock up more or less. But then rear is quite unstable. If rear is 44 - no way to save front wheels.

It just driving me crazy. Any advices please?

 

Is possible to change the wheel and generally the onboard look of Nissan nismo r33 has a round wheel not a gt3 as in real life has

 

Is it possible to consider adding an option to lock the replay camera so we can properly review potential contacts around the car while staying in the rear‑view mode? Right now, you can move the camera with the numpad arrow keys, but the position doesn’t stay fixed — it always snaps back to the rear view. This makes it quite difficult to clarify incidents. Minor contacts? Or no contacts at all?

And why not a fully free camera controlled with the mouse, with zoom on the scroll wheel? That would be amazing!

For me, the modern car are still a bit weird. They drive so differently than any other. Trailbraking and release the brake while turning in slow corners make the car easy to spin with the rear. They never solve this issue. So, i guess a new engine would not be a bad idea in the futur. I still enjoy ams2 i just don’t drive the same way in this game compare to all other sim. And lot of my sim friends who bought ams2 claim the same thing.

 

Are you driving only on default setups or have you have tweaked anything at all ? Same for your friends who are spinning. I never had this spinning issue.
